Hello fellow members of PMC :)
Yesterday, i released a blog about Volcanoes, and what would happen if they were to be added into the game. It received many hits and I will continue doing the Natural Disasters series.
For my second blog for this series, I will be talking about Tornadoes.
If they were to be added into the game, what would they do? and how would effect the game.

WHAT IF MINECRAFT ADDED TORNADOES?
I would love all sorts of natural disasters in the game, but tornado would have to be one of my most wanted.
The game would become more fun, thrilling, and intense.
Before the tornado hits you, the sky will become grey, cloudy and perhaps some rain. It would get windy and perhaps trees would fall over. Then a giant swirl from the clouds to the ground will slowly approach you. If it gets close enough, all structures, trees, yourself, and even animals would be sucked up. Your player would be spinning around at very fast speeds and taking damage equivalent to the damage you would take if you were to be falling in the void. The tornado can shoot your player up to 100 blocks away from the disaster site, as if a cannon were to send you flying. Your player will most likely die before they get flown away, or die from the fall damage. There is a chance you will survive by landing in water.
These wont accure very often, but can happen anywhere, even if they aren't in your loaded chunks.

Thanks for the POP-REEL on my Volcano blog! Lets get this one just as popular!

http://coros.us/mods/weather2 The mod adds Tornadoes, hailstorms, lightning storms, cyclones, and even hurricanes! I've used it multiple versions and love it. Most recent version is for 1.8.9 Forge!

There is a mod for that, but I wouldn't want tornados in vanilla mc, because that would make it impossible to build in creative.

I really enjoy the thought and emotion you put into your blogs! I especially like how you describe it!
Tornadoes really interest me, I may not like what damage it can do, but they really interest me. Just think about it, rain and hail all knocked around by wind and then a giant whirl of wind twisting so fast that it destroys everything in its path.
Woah

I wouldn't like it, because it would destroy my beautiful mansion or castle. =D Good idea, though.

Hehe, this would make it almost a necessity to build underground shelters...though, I'm sure most people do already.

You know, there's a mod EXACTLY like how you described it! If you look up, I think it's called the 'Natural Disasters' mod I think it will come up, but I have used it before! Kinda glitchy but it works and sucks trees, and animals, and houses, and you... You get the point.

If it was to be added, Mojang scripters would simply take the code from that mod (with the modder's permission) and slap it in an update. However it is a huge amount of code so its kind of a bad idea.
