Intro:
In many projects and builds, people always use shaders. They make even the dumbest of landscapes look beautiful and unique. Shaders are a quick and easy way to make ANYTHING receive more views/diamonds.
Point 1:
Take for example, this dirt house

With shaders, even the least impressive landscape looks amazing
Sadly, I can't get spoilers to work

Conclusion:
Shaders are a nice technique that you can use to boost likes/views on just about anything. Doing a mob interview? Shaders! Playing hungergames? Shaders! Making a minecraft comic? Shaders! If you have any other ideas about the shaders, post them in the comments for me please.

Now yes I do understand you're point, are shaders used to make bad builds look good? Can be yes, but they also help good builds look even better. As AtomicWaffle14 said, build it without shaders first and see how it looks. If it looks good use shaders. And the shaders are like anything else a marketer would use to gain attention. Thats the name of the game here. Attention and Marketing.

She has posted a resourcepack called "Realism - Fantasia 256x"
To be honest, it's one of those stereotypical packs that claims to be real-looking, but the high resolutions and bad smoothing makes it look very boring and grid-like! However, she uses shaders in the screenshots, and that makes hundreds of people go bananas and comment stuff like: "OMG, so real-looking!" "Great lighting, best pack ever!"
She even typed in the description: "Recommended to use with shaders"...
NO SHIT, is there any pack that does not look better with shaders?
And she says that because she knows that the pack itself is pretty bad. Another funny thing is that she constantly removes my comments, because I'm asking about why she intends on using shaders and so on.
Now she's even blocked me, which is hilarious! She can't take criticism at all...
