So, hey guys, first blog, this is mostly because my last one got killed when I decided to write an introduction instead. Apparently those don't fit with the rules. And I even wrote "Please don't delete..." on there too... WELL SUCKS TO BE ME! XD

This is for all of you guys who create a generic application for a server, a staff team, a project, a team in general, and etc.
Please realize, that...
INCLUDING "I will follow the rules (Yes or No):" DOES NOT HELP.
This will most likely get you an application that looks something like this:

Name: bob
Age: i tink me 100
Skype: don't have
Skills: i like mincraft
I will follow the rules: Yes, I am a very mature individual that will most definitely respect all citizens of this server.
Position: ownr
Status in real life: i own plantmincraft

So unless you seriously think that everyone out there is a completely goody two shoes, well, ya gotta 'nother think comin'.
Now, at this point, you might realize that everyone out there is just lying to get on your server's staff team. Well, no need to be paranoid! Simply make sure to include and notice several things on your application form.

Ask for Skype.
If they don't have one, they're probably not allowed to have one by there parents, and as all of you know, age is the first step to freedom.

Ask for other experiences.
If they can completely confirm that they have the skill to do what you're assigning them, well, then they probably did it at some point. Ask them.

Check grammar and vocabulary.
I know everyone doesn't have spanking good grammar and vocabulary (like me Jk XD) but if their sentence structure or spelling is messed up, you're probably talking to a five year old. If they answer with one word or very few words to each question, you're probably talking to a desperate person. And if you don't know what sentence structure, grammar, vocabulary, or spelling is, THE GRAMMAR NAZI IS COMING FOR YOU!!!

Other than that, make sure to look for people that seem professional. By professional, I mean excellent capitalization, punctuation, sentence structure, grammar, spelling, vocabulary, sense, humor, and possibly the ability to work well with other people.

Cya later!

First, you disobey all the rules you lay out about creating an application. No, you're not submitting an application but you should have correct grammar and spelling in your article. Like submitting one, you are presenting this to a specific audience or person like you would an app like you described. Take your own advice when construction your next blog.
You also sound less mature than what you're going for. Lazy grammar such as saying 'cya' as oppose to saying 'see you'. Using capital letters in the wrong areas and using them immaturely such as saying, "THE GRAMMAR NAZI IS COMING FOR YOU!!!" Don't forget the amazingly misused ending punctuations.

... My grammar and spelling are perfectly fine in this blog post. I must also point out the fact you spelled "Nazy" wrong. It's "Nazi". XD

Well, 'gotta' isn't quite a word. That whole part of the sentence is out of whack. "ya gotta 'nother think comin'." You end to use an apostrophe in place of letters a bit too frequent too. Just make it more of an occasion. You correct your grammar mistake, and I correct mine. Besides, I'm using an iPad keyboard since my computer is at home, I have an excuse. :P

I see where you're getting at. The caps and that sentence were supposed to be a bit more ligh-hearted, because I don't think blogs should be 100% serious.

No kidding, right? What I meant is no parents telling you everything to do. Of course, some people might actually think that's a good thing. No responsibilities! XD

What annoys me is the question: "Are you mature?"

If you say yes... that makes you immature, right?

If you say no... then you're immature - you just admitted it.

There is no way to answer that question, it's stupid.

"If their sentence structure or spelling is messed up, you're probably talking to a five year old"

If their sentence structure or spelling is messed up, means nothing, some people can't spell cause of dyslexia, or they talk another language but can talk a little english, so checking the grammar and vocabulary doesn't help...

Like me, english is not my original language. And believe me, I am NOT the only one at planetminecraft that doesn't have english as their original language. Sure, I can english, but it isn't my original language as I said before.

I don't agree. I think that it's obvious if someone is trying to have correct grammar and/or sentence structure. If it's obvious that they aren't, such as using things like u and r instead of even trying to spell you and are, it's an indication of how mature the person is.
