Introduction:
Hello, (hope I still remember how to do this) welcome to another blog, first I would like to thank you for clicking this and reading it, and I would also like to remind you, this blog is not meant to blame anyone, it is just my opinion.
I have finally come back to minecraft, as I have taken a huge break from it and anything related to it, Anyways, let me get on the topic I would like to write for you guys about today, which is about the Planetminecraft blogging community of today.
The Old Blogging Community:
Back when I was a frequent member of PMC I used to go on it daily, even though there weren’t as many members as there are today, People were always online. Because of this, it always felt like there were millions of members. Every submission was posted at the highest quality, (Not all the blogs though), and people always were in the chat lounge. It was a great time.
Soon as we expected and waited for, Planetminecraft started getting some traction and new members started to roll in. All the members were very happy and the usual 40-50 members in the chat lounge reached 60-70, the highest i’ve ever seen was 100+ and that was because of cyprezz, but that’s a whole other story. All member, old and new felt a great connection, and Planetminecraft soon finally reached one million members.
The Current Blogging Community:
But, this only lasted a short time, people started making the same blogs again like the only way to reach the reel was to write about mainstream topics. Then a new and unique blog would show up, and it would be a great read, and people would write about that same topic, because of its success.
An example of this would be a blog about motivation. There is nothing wrong with a little motivation, but when the pop reel is just about motivational blogs, it can get really annoying.
Soon, it felt like people wanted only the mainstream blog’s, and some of the blogs written over and over again were not even minecraft related. Were the moderators doing there job? I thought it was in the Planetminecraft rules that blogs need to be minecraft related. But, it was not even the moderators fault, there were too many of these blogs written, and it would take a very long time to delete them all.
I pondered over this problem, and realized that the other sections of minecraft are all minecraft related, but the blogging section of Planetminecraft is not, or at least not all the time.
Why does the blogging section have to be like this, why don’t we just all write about minecaft related thing on a website called Planetminecraft. I mean, you don’t see a picture of a person building a real house in the projects section. Or in the modding section a person making a mod for another game. So, why does the blogging community think they can blog about anything and everything on a website meant for the minecraft community.
Conclusion:
I know one blog will not change the fact that it is hard to not do what is popular, but if what you are making is new, unique, and good, it will get the fame it deserves. Who knows, maybe blogs complaining about the blogging community will be a new mainstream...

the thought of that was kinda funny :p
but, other then that great blog ^-^ good qualaty and interesting :)
If I should say something I mean, for me its not a problem.I mean, its always funny to see what people post these days. But it would also be fun to see people post more awesome creative blogs.
Hehe, that's been around for a while ^_^
I mostly agree with Repsons point. I get nostalgia about the old skinning community as well, but it was more or less the same.
What your stating is pure nostalgia, it's like saying "In alpha everyone's builds were creative and well made"
Sure, We have our niches on PMC that people always write about, and people will keep writing about a topic until it is completely beaten to death. And there really isn't anything we can do about it except for sit back and watch as the topic slowly dies off.
With time our blogs have only evolved with new ideas and flourished into a whole new realm of creativity and originality. Just because you see a bad blog does not mean there isn't a great one around that makes up for it.
Everyone has their own opinion on the matter, I understand that. But to shield your opinion of the present because of pure nostalgia is silly and annoying to users who don't think like you.
