Intro: Present stereotypes

As we all know, there is a world of Minecraft created by the almighty Notch, it rendered thousands of years ago and an adventurer with the name Steve has been let into the world to discover it's features. There's land, there's caves there's the sky and different dimensions. As some might say "There's a huge world out there", the land of Minecraft is a gift for Steve.

But your knowledge might aswell be wrong.

In another sunny morning, who other than Steve walks out his self-built shelter also known as "home" and ventures into the land to claim it as explored. He steps a foot into the swamp, it's very wet and squishy, but it's a perfect place to find those slime-like creatures that Steve noticed a few days earlier. Who knows how they can be used in every day survival. Then after a bit of trial and error of slime farming Steve spends his day mining, visiting the nearby village populated by the villagers. Days continue on and on like this, there's still so much to discover and Steve loves how he is living. His perfect concept of life is to have freedom in survival.

A couple of days have passed and a strange occasion happens, Steve stumbles upon a dungeon, in the middle of it is a burning crate, in it there's a silhouette of a skeleton. Then out of nowhere three actual skeletons pop up. They start attacking Steve, but he is ready for a challenge, it's what he lives for. He roars his mighty roar and swings the blade to end the existence of the three dead. After a few torches put down, Steve is safe and is rewarded with treasure found in chests covered with moss.

Part 1 - Future discoveries

This is how Steve is known for most people, but there's a whole other side of the world he is living in and you might not have a single clue what it is.

At one moment Steve hears a few voices behind walls, they bring him into confusion. "What could it be?" he is thinking.
When the evening gets closer to midnight, Steve warms himself under the sheets of his bed and has a daydream. He still
can't figure out if he really did hear a conversation near the dungeon. Then he comes up with an idea:

"These mountains, they are like the border of my world, what if all this time I've actually surrounded myself from the population?
I will take the path between the mountains and find out what lands are hiding there!"

It's another day now, Steve knows the journey he is about to take will be difficult and exciting. He packs his stuff, grabs some cooked salmon and a bit of pumpkin pie. He's gonna use two pickaxes, one for efficiency, the other for the fortune.

He puts a step after a step to make his way higher up the mountain. He's spending a lot of energy, but his mind is keeping him up. He knows he is near the peak of the mountain and he doesn't even think about returning without succeeding.

As he finally get's there he takes a walk around to admire the nature and beauty, there's bunnies hopping in the snow, there's sheep further down the cliff. The spruce trees with a layer of snow on top look exactly like a painting would.

But after a few minutes in the middle of a spruce forest, Steve finds himself at at a dead end. "This can't be true" he's thinking, there's a layer of bedrock in front of him. He walks to the right, there's more bedrock. He walks to the left, still it's just bedrock. The widght of the layer continues till the horizon. It's like there's no way around.

Steve is now in a very confusing situation. There isn't anything he can do to cross this border. But it happens again. Steve hears people, this time it's coming from the other side of the border. It's like there would people stuck in the wall. For a second Steve punches himself just to check if it's not a fantasy dream. It really isn't.

Steve walks for half a hour to the right, but all he keeps seeing is the border covering up half of the land. He keeps on going and going until he notices some light coming from a man-sized hole in the bedrock wall. He starts sprinting towards it as fast as he can. Upon reaching it, he notices that it's a tunnel. He takes the risk and follows it. It's light up with redstone lamps, something that can't be natural, maybe it's a shelter of another Minecraftian!

Sadly it's not. Steve reaches a door with a button next to it, he automatically clicks the button which activates the door, the door pulls itself up and behind it Steve notices a screen.

Part 2 - Viewers

It's a digital screen, it showing a moving picture of a forest, however this forest seems familiar to Steve, not knowing why. Steve is currenly in total shock: "what is all this stuff, what is this place and why is it taking up so much of my world?" Steve keeps touring the corridors filled with screens and control rooms full of buttons. There's all kinds of chairs everywhere, even eatable products on top of tables. There's wires everywhere, it's like Steve has discovered a different world, but what he doesn't know is that his thoughts are very close to reality.

Steve strolls trough all kinds of doors. But there is noone there, ... until ... , he hears people as loud as a whisper from the other side of the room. He follows the voices, he's about to finally meet other Minecrafters for the first time of his life. He is pumped, he dashes nearer and nearer as the voices become louder and louder. There he is now, in front of a door. But it's not a typical one. It has two transparent glass windows in it and trough them Steve can see people sitting at tables and enjoying their meals. They are laughing, having fun. Steve is shaking like he had been accepted to paradise. Steve takes a huge step and swings the door wide open to bring all the attention to him. Once he does that, all of the conversations stop.

Everyone has their eyes open as wide as the ocean, they all remain complete silent, it's like their speech has been taken by some kind of a spirit. Then everything turns red. All the lights go red, all the screens go red and a loud noise is narrating the situation for everyone. It's a computer voice from a speaker saying "Code RED, Code RED, Code RED" on a repeat. from Steve's behind two guys dressed in black suits grab both of Steve's hands. They drag him across the room to a vent. Then they slide him down the vent head first. The vent however isn't very long, after a few seconds Steve wakes up on a soft floor. He is surrounded by four hard walls and a single metal door locked by a unhackable mechanism. There's a large screen on the high end of the front wall and on the screen is a picture.

undefined

The picture represents an advertisement, but Steve is now even more shocked. He has no idea what is going on and he is in need of an explanation. Why is he more shocked? The house in the picture on the screen is Steve's house.

Then the screen changes, now it's a video. On the video Steve can see a guy, the guy walks towards whatever is creating the video ( the camera ) and starts talking.

Monolouge of the guy in the video:
Hello, Steve! It's nice to finally see you out of your ordinary. You might be thinking where are you and why were you forced down here! The answer is not simple, but I will take the time to explain it to you! Whilst everyone was taking a daily pause off of their work you somehow managed to find our control rooms. What you saw there were screens, and those screens had footage of the land you were living on. I'm gonna tell you this right know and I need you to listen to me, because I'll have a question afterwads. You are not what you think you are. Every single day about a hundread of people look at you, they bring you challenges such as mobs and ravines and they also reward you with treasure and temples. Every single thing you have seen before is just a projection of whats not really there. It might not mean a lot to you, but a lot of people admire what you do. Here out in the real world people love to be entertained and one way of them doing so, is to watch you struggle at living in a life without anyone else. Some people find it funny, some see it as education. I, however, see it as money!
Because of you, hundreads of people are getting food and are having places to stay at night. You are an international hero!
So basically what I'm saying is, you are an actor even thought you never knew you were one. We made you a world to live in as an entertaining television show for others. And we saw how happy you were there, so I want to offer you something.

Could you just return back to your shelter and pretend like none of this ever happened? Just ignore everything you found out about today and live the life we give you! We were close to finishing Season 2 of the show and we were just about to release you.

I'll give you some time to think about the offer, however, I must say, I'm not really giving you a choice, because bad things can happen here!

The monolouge ends here.

Part 3 - Breakout loop

Now Steve feels depressed. All this time he has not known that he was sheltered from the real world. His life dreams were shattered and left hopeless. All this imagination of being in freedom flows away. Steve crumbles onto the ground to cry. Steve is intelligent, he knows what is about to happen. They might think Steve is a very dumb person, but Steve has it all figured out. There's two options they gave him, 1st is to cooperate with the company and keep living in the fake world. 2nd option will probably lead to death. But Steve also knows that a Season can't end without an ending, and in a show about survival, the only way for the series to end is when the surviving fails (The survivalist dies). So both options are leading Steve to death. Steve has no idea how much time he has to go over the options, since they are really terrible.

But then Steve notices something about the room he is crying in. The large screen has been wired from it's behind, so that gives away the fact that there's a hole behind the screen. What if the corporation hasn't thought it all trough?

Steve knows there is no time to waste, so now he just has to come up with an idea. He quickly starts tearing up parts of the carpet and collecting pieces. He takes most of the carpet in the room. He walks towards the wall on witch the screen is attached, he looks up without a doubt. He knows there is no time to waste, freedom has to be achieved. He starts placing carpet on carpet on carpet, creating a pile, also known as a 1x1  tower (which most people disaproove of). Once he finds himself near the middle of the screen, he takes a move and begins punching the screen. He hits it as hard as he can, eventually there's a hole. And just how Steve tought, it's a tunnel full of wires which must lead to some kind of electricity room. He charges trough the tunnels with the speed of a marathonist, but then he stops to realize that CODE RED has gone off once again. They have found the room empty and torn. With huge leaps Steve rushes in the tunnels creating sounds of steps on the metal flooring. Steve is full of hope and adrenaline, this might be his only chance. Then at the end of the tunnel, Steve notices a bright light with the same colour as the light which comes from the beautiful four squared sun. Just a few more steps, just a few more steps and I will be there is what Steve was thinking.

There it is, the real place of the future. It's freedom, Steve finally feels like he's free. But isn't it a little strange, how there are no houses or roads nearby? It's like this strange facility was built underground without anybody knowing it's there. Once again, Steve feels that itchy feeling like before. Something is not right here, there's something strange and Steve can't figure it out. But before Steve knew what hit him, he passed out.

Steve once again wakes up on the floor, in a room the same size as the one he was prisoned in before, however this time there are no soft flooring and no digital screen. There's just a single speaker built in the ceiling. After a screeching noise of a microphone turned on, Steve hears a voice coming from the speaker very familiar to the one he heard in the previous room.

The voice says:

Welcome back Steve! Your head might be hurting from the fall, but that's because we had to remove all the carpet you used for your advantage. Oh, how much I loved the look on your face when you thought you finally reached freedom. It was nowhere near, actually it was even further from freedom than you were before. Also, I might have forgot to introduce myself before, but now that I'll probably be the last person you ever talk to, I'd like to reveal my identity.
My name is Mike Rowsoft, I'm the CEO of TV4, and you are at our secret headquarters. Here we record "The Minecrafter show" and here we spread around fake information for money and fame. You are our biggest achievement, our biggest success, well, atleast you were. Before you we were spreading around a myth about a man-like creature named Herobrine, but that didn't work out as long as we wanted it to. So we came up with you! Actually, not necesserally you. Before you, Steve, we had a different Minecrafter, but that season had to end. Now that you are more informed about this situation, I'm giving you the last chance to cooperate, I don't think the viewers would like a show cancelation happening.
Here the audio coming from the speaker ends.

Part 4 - The Annonymous

Here he was, just sitting in the middle of a room filled with crushed dreams. Steve felt like it's not worth trying to escape no more, since he didn't want to get hurt with something being fake again. He felt betrayed. From this moment Steve agreed with his "faith" and felt like living no more. The END.

Or is it?

undefined
There he was, Steve, dragged by two guards back to where this all started. Inside, Steve felt like suffocating in a wall without any air pockets, since all his hopes were gone. Getting closer to the fake outside, felt like going much further away from freedom.

Steve tought to himself: "Why are people like this, what has happened to them? Is this world really about all to yourself, no share, no morals, just plain valuables? I thought surviving on your own was a thing that anybody would enjoy, but I guess all this time I've been very, very wrong."

Look who it was, at the enterance door back to the recording studio there was a man standing with his arms crossed and a grin on his face. It was Mike Rowsoft. "There, there Steve, now you should know, why you shouldn't try to escape this facility, you just can't!". The door opened and there it was, the projected sun with the manufactured grass. It all looked exactly the same, but very different at the same time. Mike said to the guards:" let him go now!", they released his hands. All Steve had to do was to take a few steps. But something really unexpected happened...

"CODE RED! CODE RED!", the same signal came from all over the corridors, "EMERGENCY LOCKDOWN". And the door in front of Steve quickly closed. There were red light flashing every, Steve had no idea what's going on, and by the look of Mike's face, he didn't seem to know either. Mike once again told his guards to hold on to Steve, they started taking him the opposit way. Right next to the guards was a detection chamber, in which people are tested for not carrying any weapons or dangerous things. The guards were supposed to pass it, but that's not what really happened. Whilst Steve was being dragged across the tunnels he heard a very silent/whisper like voice in a really soft tone saying "To the left". Steve quickly charged out of the guard hands and ran into the detection chamber. Before he noticed what happened, doors closed from both sides of the detection chamber and Steve was trapped inside. However the guards and Mike himself were on the other side of the doors.

Steve had no idea what's going on, and he was most curious about who told him to go left. Right at that moment, from a speaker inside the detection chamber he heard that same voice, this time in a normal volume. The voice was very different to all the other people he had heard from in this facility. The voice said: "When I open the door, take a turn to the right, skip the next door and then climb up the ladder." Then suddenly a secret passage opened inside the detection chamber. Steve quickly jumped in and right after that, the door closed and locked itself. After a few seconds Steve could hear the noise of a pickaxe getting hit against the locked door. From that moment he knew that he had to be fast, because Mike was right after him. He went to the right, passed another passage way and found himself at a ladder. It was quite tall, but Steve didn't wait a single moment, he rushed up the ladder. At the end of the ladder Steve climbed into a room. The room was made of all kinds of technology. It had massive amounts of wires and cables. There was a door with a glass window, from which a bright blue light was coming from. Steve wiped off his sweat and opened the door.

In front of Steve was the misterious person giving escape clues to Steve it was...

Part 5 - Making It To The End.

It was a girl, with long light brown, ginger-like hair. "Thank god you made it Steve", she said. "Hey, you most likely don't know me, but I'm here to help us both! My name is Alex and I am here to get you back home. We don't have a lot of time, so I'm gonna explain you straight away what are we about to do. There's a room we need to get to, but it's on the other side of this laboratory. We will have to pass large amounts of guards and staff members, it's going to be risky, but it's definetly doable. We'll both take a lenghtened "Speed 2" potion. I will try my best to block whoever is chasing us, but no mather what, you have to keep on running. Are you ready?"

She asked the question even tho she was not waiting for a negative answer so Steve said yes.

"There we go" she said, and pressed a button. Under Steve's feet a trapdoor opened and made him fall down back into the corridors of this crazy facility. Something had dispensed a potion on Steve and now he felt a lot more energetic and faster. He jump fowards and made a much bigger leap than he could ever before. Now he just followed the instructions. The red lights were still flashing, but both Steve and Alex were sprinting across the corridors. A man stepped in front of the corridor and said "Stop right there!". Neither Steve or Alex accepted his request and both quickly jogged away from the man. More backup was called and in a mather of seconds approximately 15 people were on the chase after both escapers. They ran into an animal testing laborotory and Alex came up with an idea. She started pressing and stepping on random stone buttons and pressure plates. Lots of colorful sheep and piglets had spawned in front of the guards, but behind the escapers. They now had even more time to get away. After about 20 seconds, both Steve and Alex reached a very huge door, with a sign in front of it saying "CAUTION". To open a door, a code had to be entered. Alex knew the code, she streched her hand and pressed the buttons in correct order: C ; 4 ; 1 ; 8. The door now opened, they both ran in and closed the door afterwards. This room was not like any other, it held something unique, something really rare, something that had an enterance but was hard to get out of. It was the ender portal!!! It was already filled with all the ender eyes and activated. Then Alex, once again started talking:
"Now that we are here, and there shouldn't be a way for them to get inside here, I'll explain to you why am I doing this. When I was younger, I loved being a survivalist. I loved farming, exploring and building. I wanted to reach out to new lands and find new creatures, but that all stopped when I found out I was in a reality show. The same people held me hostage in their studio making me think that I'm having the time of my life, even tho it was all fake rubbish. I was on the season 1. I did escape however, just like you tried to. I had much more success since the did not think trough everything. They did improve the security very much on Season 2, so I knew you wouldn't be able to get out all by yourself, so I had to come here and rescue you. I can't stand people like them, taking us away from the entier world. By the way, if you are wondering how I did all of that mechanic secret passage way opening, in the real world, there's a thing called redstone. It's hard to master, but really useful, you should try making something when you obtain it!

Anyway, we have something much more difficult waiting for us. We are gonna go to the end, and what we will have to do is defeat the guardian of the end, also known as the enderdragon. Possibly the strongest mob and enemy, this world has to offer. I believe that you and me, we can do it if we try as hard as we can!

If we do beat him, we will both be sent back to our original home. I'll be back at my house, at my bed. But you at where you spawned. From there you'll be able to start living your life like you want to! Sadly, there's also a bad side to it, you and me, we will be seperated. I have no idea if we'll ever be able to meet again, but I hope the odds work in our favour"

Now she stops talking.

As a way for her to show you respect, she hugs you with the biggest hug anyone has ever given. Then she hands you the gear that is stored in the room, you put it on. You both hold hands and on the count of 3, you jump in the portal.

Part 6 - One Way Ticket

There it was, The End. Steve and Alex are standing on a small obsidian platfor, around the place there are hundreads of endermen. Then, from far far a way, a noise of flapping wings can be heard. A black shadow with purple eyes approches. It's the Enderdragon. Alex grabs a bow and without spending any time starts shooting arrows. Steve is confused cause he doesn't know how to deal with the Enderdragon. He only has a sword in his hands and every time he damages the dragon his health seems to go back to normal. Alex says: "It's fine, he's healing from the towers, I'll take out the ender crystals and then he'll start to feel pain!". Steve runs around doging the Enderdragon's charges at the same time as Alex takes out all the ender crystals. It goes on like that for more than 20 minutes. Then Alex screams from anothe side of the END platform: "The towers are gone!" and Steve dodges no more. He points the end of his sword at the end of the dragon and the dragon flies into the sword. The dragon gets hurt and now he's starting to get full of anger. He increases his speed and damage. Both Alex and Steve run around the end looking at the dragon, trying to avoid eye contact from any endermen. Alex looking at the wall accidentaly misses out the fact that the ground is not flat and falls to her knees. The enderdragon changes his path from Steve straight to Alex, Alex is panicing and doesn't move, she is in shock. Steve runs as fast as a bullet and jumps in front of Alex with his blade out facing the dragon at the last second, just to save her. But then they realize that the enderdragon stops. It starts floating straight in the air and a huge blast sound can be heard. Particles fall off from the dragon and light rays burst out of it's body. It's done! They have defeated the dragon, just barley alive. There it is, the portal to the real world. After all this struggle and work Steve gets to experience the full freedom. Alex hugs Steve one more time, waves her hand and jumps into the portal. Steve "follows" her afterward.

undefined

Steve has his eyes closed, but he hears wind and feels cold. He opens his eyes to realize he's in a snowy forest. Even tho it's cold, Steve feels warmer in his heart than he has ever before. The lovely sound of a pig and the wind swinging the leaves of trees makes Steve shed a tear. There is a little empty feeling Steve is having. And he knows why. For the first time in his life, he met someone who understands him, a true friend. But now, she is gone.

Steve goes to a tree, punches and crafts some planks. One of the tree branches drops an apple. He takes a big bite from the apple and puts the rest in his pocket. But there's something strange about his pocket, It's like there's something inside of it. There's a small folded piece of paper in his pocket, he takes it out and unfolds it. He takes a look at whats written on it, and just a few moments later, he feels as the happiest person in the world.
The note says: "X: -714, Y: 67, Z: 1266. <3  Alex"

THE END

Remember, even if it's single player, someone knows what you are going trough and how hard can it get and someone will always admire what you do, just stay away from getting used by someone who you don't share any feelings with.
