Sorry about the peculiar thumbnail, my hard drive is derping and I'm limited to strictly my 2G flashdrive.
Recently (in fact not recently at all) there's been a surge of teenage skins, cliche projects, texture packs that looks liked they were made in paint, and blogs that don't even have comprehensible writing. From a "Creative Community" fansite this should actually be expected. Some definitions of creative are different from others.

For example, let's take this teenager skin. Typical, right? Many of the teenage skins I see on this website are from newer players. We all know how wonderous we felt after making our very first skin, no matter how dysfunctional it was. Back to the topic of the teenage skins, I don't believe we should bash inexperienced players for making these types of skins. We should rather encourage them to make original skins. Reporting skins such as these don't do much, as it only leaves the poster confused. If they posted the skin in the first place they probably don't know the rules. People, everyone was a newbie at one point or another. Let's not bash these skins from newer players. This is a COMMUNITY which means we should support one another in our endeavours.

Blogs. They're a great addition to PMC that allow even MORE expression of creativity, which is what this website is all about. Some blogs are excellently written, others...not. This takes me back to the subject of teenager skin. Newer players who aren't so good at blogging should be given advice on how to better structure/write/organize how they make their blogs. We shouldn't be chastising poorly made blogs, we should instead (to reiterate) support them.

IF YOU'RE TO LAZY TO READ ALL OF THIS
WE SHOULD LOVE OUR NEWBIES, EVEN IF THE CONTENT ISN'T UP TO STANDARDS. <3
I in no way support the copying of skins.
