Hello Everybody, This story will be told in first/third person. I will be acting as Steve here.

Chatper 1: The Beginning

It was dark and rainy night. I got done smelting my iron and realized I had no coal and no torches. What was I gonna do? I couldn't survive the night without at least 1 torch to keep the creepers from spawning. Quickly I made the decision to craft an iron pickaxe and mine until I find a family of coal blocks. I mined for hours and found no coal blocks anywhere. Could my night get any worse? I kept mining until something cought my eye. It was mossy cobble stone. I ran back to my house and crafted an iron sword. I slowly start to mine the blocks to find a chest. I opened the chest and saw only a saddle and some string. I dug around to find the other chest. Trying as hard as i can to avoid getting into the spawner area since i have no torches. I open the other chest and see 1 torch! Finally a torch that i can use for the night. I grab it started to run back when I saw a creeper straight ahead of me. There is never good news when you see a creeper. As i got near it spotted me and walked towards me. I as carefuly as i could kept slashing at the beast until it was dead.
I finally made it into the house. But the night wasn't over yet. I heard zombies on the floor above me. Stupidly I went to go slay them instead of laying the torch down first to prevent more from spawning. As I slowly walked up the stairs I could see 2 fainted creatures standing near the corner. I ran up the stairs attempted to slay them both. In the end I had 2 hearts left. Then i realized another zombie had spawned because I did not lay down the torch. I waited until my health regenerated and then slayed the zombie and layed down my torch. Now I can live the night without the fear of dying.
Finally I can go outside. The sun is up and all of the mobs have disappeared. As any minecrafter would, I start to cut down trees and replant them so I can make myself an actual house. In the process of this I gain some extra saplings, apples, and a few seeds. On my way back to the house I find some coal in the mountain. I quickly take a detour to get it and then go back to the house. As always, my house at first is a complete disaster. Nothing is organized and looks like complete crap. Eh, oh well. I will just fix it up later. I go back outside to collect food and gather wool to make myself a bed. As I am heading back to the house darkness starts to roll in. I pick up my speed and get to the house. I make a bed and sleep peacefully through the night.

Chatper 2: Construction Disaster

Finally I start to put my house together in a neatly fashion. I strted with the chest room first. Digging up all of the cobble floor and laying down some fresh looking jungle wood flooring. I lay down a torch to make sure nothing evil spawns while i'm building the rest of my house. I build down 5 blocks and clear a a good size room for a basement. But that wasn't what I wanted to finish up right now. So I head back upstairs to start on the main living room. This room took the longest. As I put a few designs into the floor to make it look cool. I repalced the wall with logs to give it a outside forest feel. The upstairs was the same floor as the chest room. That slighly dark jungle wood gave it a home feel. I added a deck onto the top floor. Fencing around the deck so I wouldn't fall off when I wasn't paying attention. On the bottom underneath I layed cobblestone down as the porch floor, and again put fencing down. But not for comfort. Just for looks. I added pillars to give the deck extra support from underneath.
I head back inside to put all my materials away. All of a sudden I hear very quite footsteps in the basement. Now I remember that I didn't lay a torch down when I was digging out the layout. I grab my sword and leather armour and head down the stairs with caution. I don't see anything. I head down a little farther to see if i can spot out what is making the sound. Then I notice a pig was wondering down here. So i quickly go to slay it not looking what was in the other direction. All I hear after I slay the pig is TSSSSHHH! BOOM! Now I lie there dead with the screen that says "respawn" or "quit."

Chatper 3: The Way Back

Ah the feeling of losing my life to a creeper. Now I have to try and locate my house. But on the way I am going to try and lay down a few land marks in case I die again. I start walking North into the snowy clustered biome that lays ahead. No sign of land marks that I remember so far. As I reach the icey river, I see a torch that i had layed down on the way. I quickly head to it and keep on heading on in the same direction. The sun starts to fall and the mobs start spawn. Quickly, I gather a few resources and make a small shelter. This mark as my second land mark. As the night passes and the day begins, I begin my journey again through the world of minecraft looking for my far built house. It has felt like only 15 minecraft minutes, but in reality its been 2 hours that I have been searching for this home. At last I find another land mark.
Another minecraft day has passed and I still havent seen my house. But I have ran into a little trouble:I got turned around and can't figure out which way I was heading. I start heading East for a little while and realize This is heading to a whole different biome I havent seen before. I start heading North again. This trip Seems never Ending. All this Snow and ice. All of a sudden out of the corner of my eye I see a lightglow in the distance. I walk towards it. All of a sudden I am getting shot with arrows. i look back and 3 skeletons are on my tail. I run as fast as I can to the light. On my way I meet a pack of zombies. Still running, I bypass them into a Small ditch in the ground. I look up to see a creeper crawling down the hole. All I can think of is "NOT AGAIN!" as the creeper blows up! Luckly, I Survive with half a heart. I Climb out and see my house. I run to saftey and shut that door behind me. Another day goes by that I dont miss being safe in my house.

Chapter 4: My Safe Haven

After that exhausting night of almost dieng from a creeper, I wake up feeling safe and energized. Still afraid of going to explore outside, I choose to Decorate my house more. I finish the basement, Adding a touching stone brick fireplace, Acacia planks as my floor, with a touching crafting table here and there to add more decoration. The walls are made of soft red and white color brick, to make all of the other colors in the room stand out. And of course, I add paintings on the wall for some humor to laugh at later. Next I go outside and brainstorm what to do next. Quickly thinking about safety, I add stone walls about 7 blocks away surrounding my house. Enough to give me a small size yard for a few flowers and a pathway. Now I put in a gate and add a 3x7 pathway all the way to my door. I line the pathway with flowers. I also add torches to the fences and casually around the yard so no mobs spawn. Next I make a small 1x1 path to one side of my yard and make a small fountain. Add a little texture to other viewers in the area. To the other side is a pathway to a small well. this way I have an infinite water source for whenever I need water. Now I go into my living room and make a door in the back. I build a deck and make a lawn chair and an owning so I don't get a sunburn. I also make a pathway leading out far beyond my fence and add another fence about 20x15x20 around my old one. This area is for my farm. Now I will have all the food I will ever need. I never mentioned this before, but the walls to my house are wood. I scrunch up some cracked stone brick and mix it in there to add color. I go back into my basement and now start to create a tunnel down to bedrock and on the way down, I make it look all neat and decorate it with all different types of blocks. Later I might add a minecart system for easier use. About 6 levels down from my basement, I make a portal room. I will decorate it soon with Netherrack and Nether Brick when I get it. I go back down into my tunnel and carve out the start of my Strip Mine. Now that is done and I feel safe in my house, I can start on the mining and gathering resources project.

Chapter 5: The Strip Mine

From the previous chapter you saw that I made the strip mine. Well now its time to dig into it like a wrecking ball!
No no just kidding. But I do wreck the mine pretty badly soon. Of course with those stingy slow stone pickaxes. But who knows, I might find some iron to make up with having to use all of these stone pickaxes. Anyways I've already started on this mine and I've gone about 200 blocks into it and I have not hit a single ore of iron. I have only collected coal, and all of those other useless blocks and I will use in the future to help build my lovely world. 30 block later I finally find a lovely stash of iron; sitting behind a lump of coal, waiting, ready to be mined with my one and very own stone pickaxe. It feels nice to finally have some iron to smelt and turn into a iron pickaxe so I can finally mine redstone, gold, and DIAMOND. I head back upstairs, craft a secondary crafting table and furnace. I quickly smelt my iron, turn it into a pickaxe, and head back down to my mine. I start on a new mine, this time 2 blocks higher than the one above me. I keep mining straight, as that's what you do in a strip mine. But something cool happens 20 blocks into the mine. I find Diamond. Happily, readily, and excited, I mine it and run up to my chest room and deposit it into my chest. Knowing to be careful with it, I just leave it in there for later use. Hours later, I have 5 stacks of iron ore and now I begin the thinking process of how to use my iron efficiently and effectively. I have also picked up multiple stacks of redstone dust, a little over half a stack of gold ore, and some more cobble. Now that my inventory is full, I go as far as making a small hut in my strip mine to be able to drop off resources into a chest, smelt my iron and gold, and make some tracks and hoppers. Now I make a track going back into the entrance of my strip mine and I carve out an area where my chest carts can run across hoppers and deposit materials, Which Is what I used now as my auto inventory drop off. This is as amazing idea to follow through on. On the other side of the track I just keep laying tracks as I get farther into the mine, that way I can just push the minecart back when my inventory is full and I have more space. What a successful mining trip today has been. Plentiful amounts of iron, coal, and redstone. Small but useful amounts of Diamond, and some other raw materials for later use. Couldn't ask for much better.... The next day I decide to use my diamond to make a Diamond pickaxe, which now I am going to use to gather up materials to go to the nether. I quickly make a bucket and put water in it and head back down into my mine. Lucky me, I have not run into any lava problems yet, but thinking that now, it stinks because I now have to search for lava throughout my mines and keep digging until I find some. On my way to finding lava, I find a few more diamonds, which was unexpected and I found an emerald. Now only if I had a villager to trade with. Any ways I finally found some lava, got some obsidian, and made a portal. Oh, I also made a enchantment table for later use.
