So I've been thinking, when I play survival mode I find the only reason I get bored is because, well I survive and without any problems. Even on the hardest difficulty I go through three phases: 1. Spawn/build a crappy house, 2. thrive, expand my house, etc, 3. get bored because I am facing no conflict. So I propose that Jeb implement a mode where you must collect resources, build a fort, and defend against monsters that unlike in survival are trying to brake into your fort. To make the mode a bit more interesting it would be a good idea to make each passing night more and more difficult.
I understand that many issues would rise like, people would just bury themselves underground until day and then collect more resources, however I had the idea that instead of trying not to die, you must try and defend a treasure or artifact that all the monsters will go after, destroying blocks, and attacking players in their way.
This mode would be especially fun in multiplayer, personally I would have a blast making a fort and defending it, with other players.
