Seasons o A Minedea

A change that I would make to improve Minecraft would be implementing seasons. These seasons would make the game more realistic, and more enjoyable. I will be discussing what the change is, go into depth of what it will do, explain the effects it will have on the game and the community, and explain why it would be a great change. Adding seasons to Minecraft would not only make it more realistic, it would make it more aesthetically pleasing. It would have a big impact on the game a well, making things more difficult, but more enjoyable at the same time. I think adding seasons would be a beneficial change to Minecraft.

So, what will the change be exactly? Basically, just adding seasons to vanilla Minecraft. If you really dono t understand, Io ll explain it some more. There are 4 seasons on earth, summer, autumn, winter, and spring. Take those seasons, and put them in Minecraft. Easy. So what Io d like to see happen is Mojang taking the characteristics and visuals of each season, and implement them into Minecraft. So, spring will be like spring, summer would be like summer, autumn would be like autumn, and winter would be like winter. It would just make Minecraft more realistic, fun, aesthetically pleasing, more complex, prettier, and more customizable to your liking.

So, what will it do? Io ve already said that, but now ito s time to go into more depth and explanation. Okay, time to get some general stuff down. One season will last 7 Minecraft days, or you have to option to toggle it to 14 days. You can toggle seasons on/off, basically have no seasons (like Minecraft right now) or have seasons. You will also have to option to choose one season only. So, leto s say you are doing a build and you want the season to be winter. You can toggle the season to winter permanently. Or perhaps you just want to play survival in spring only. No matter what gamemode you are in, you would have the option to toggle seasons.

Okay, so what would spring be like? Spring would have more flowers spawning/growing. The leaves would also grow back, and be a light green, plus have flowers on them. (Excluding pine trees) Baby animals would randomly spawn around adult animals as well. The weather would be mostly sunny, but it would also rain a bit. The snow in taigas/pine forests would melt as well. The leaves would also start to grow back onto trees. The time would also change. There would be 14 minecraft hours of sun, and 12 minecraft hours of moon.

Now, what would summer be like? The color of the leaves start to darken into a lush green, and fruits would start to appear on trees. There would be lots of animals around, and crops would grow very well. The weather would be mostly sunny, with a little bit of rain. (excluding deserts) The day/night cycle would also change. There would be 16 minecraft hours of sun, and only 8 minecraft hours of moon.

So, what would autumn be like? Autumn is probably the exact opposite of spring. The leaves would change color, and slowly decay (disappear from trees). They would also drop single leaves, and make leaf piles (Excluding desert and jungle). You would also be able to craft a rake to get rid of them easily. There would be less animals spawning, and baby animals would be rare. Lots of pumpkins would randomly spawn around the world. The weather would be mostly rain, but still some sun. There would be 12 minecraft hours of sun and 14 minecraft hours of moon.

And finally, what would winter be like? Winter is the exact opposite of summer, soooo ¦ There would be snow everywhere (excluding desert and jungle). The leaves would be completely gone from the trees, (excluding pine and jungle). Crops would also die/struggle growing if outdoors, and can be killed by snow. Water would also freeze to ice. The weather would be mostly snow/rain and cloudy, with sun rarely. The time would be 8 minecraft hours of sun and 16 minecraft hours of moon.

So, how would this change affect the game? Well, it would make it more complex, that is for sure. Perhaps harder to code, and buggy. Remember, Io m not a modder, (I wouldno t know the first thing about coding) so I could be wrong. It would definitely make the game nicer though. It could also be difficult to texture. And with this, updates might take longer, and displease the community. But, I think that it would definitely be worth it, because even though these affects to the game are negative, it would still make Minecraft better.

And, how would this affect the community? In many ways. Some people would be happy, some would be angry. Some might think ito s a great idea, and then the people who have been playing since alpha might think ito s a terrible idea. Texturepack makers might be frustrated, because theyo d have to do more work on their texturepacks, and also redo some of their old ones. Builders would probably be happy, because it would be more flexible for their builds, and easier to work with, because then they wouldno t have to go around making everything look like winter. And people who play survival would have mixed opinions. It would probably cause an uproar of love, and hate. Even though this could happen, I think it wono t matter, because in my opinion, the game would be improved.

So, seasons in conclusion. The change is adding seasons to vanilla Minecraft. What would the change do? Well, it would change the appearance of Minecraft to make it look, and feel like it has seasons. Each season would mock the real seasons, and would match the characteristics. Basically, spring would be like spring, summer would be like summer, autumn would be like autumn, and winter would be like winter. Each season would last 7 minecraft days, and you would also be able to toggle the seasons. This change would also have a huge impact on the game and community, causing difficulty, mixed emotions, and more. I think seasons would be a great change to minecraft, making it more fun, and aesthetically pleasing. I think Mojang should really consider implementing seasons into Minecraft someday.

It doesn't make sense that in winter there's snow in every biome in real life it only snows in cold places, and sometimes in not so cold places but just a little bit, and in hot places it doesn't even snow.

You made the trees look ugly in winter. What about instead of having the leaf blocks disappear, make them change their texture (much like dirt to grass) Also, some of these features would not happen on all biomes, after all, you don't think it snows on jungles, or leaves decay on a taiga, do you?
