Everybody is always like, "bla bla bla all the popular people on PMC get all the attention and there is no chance for the new people." Well, the "popular" people didnt just join PMC and then randomly get rank 50 then and there! They have to work to get their subscribers, ranks, and diamonds! Let me put this in a way you might understand. Do you notice something different about the submissions of somebody with rank 60 and somebody with rank 4? The people who have high ranks earned it - by uploading high-quality content that they put their best effort into! Their texture packs arent missing blocks, their blogs have proper grammar, their skins are beautiful/nicely made, their projects are original and done nicely, and their servers are hard worked on and got so popular because of that! If you really want to become popular, don't sit there and complain about how you are not popular. Do something, make something, post something nice on PMC. Don't post something because you want subscribers, post something because you want to contribute to the community and give to the lovely people on PMC.
"But I stink at making skins/projects/texture packs/servers/blogs/mods.... " There is a solution to this to. Since the higher ranked people always do their work for the community, a lot of them also post tutorials on how to do good shading on skins, or what programs they use to make their stuff. They are trying to help you! So take this opportunity and learn from the best. Then, just fake it till you make it.
