Soo.. Since I have state testing tomorrow I was thinking of practicing persuasive essays because it is on of the most common ones. Well so here it goes! Please help me revise if I suck XD
Question: Your principal think phones shouldn't be allowed at school at all times. Explain reasons why you would disagree or agree with your principals decision. [My school allows cell phones btw XD question is made up]

I, a __ grade student at Middle School, disagrees with the decision of the principal and I believe cell phones should be allowed at school. Cell phones are important to have and I am pretty sure most teens carry cell phones along with them. Cell phones should be allowed because they can be used for educational purposes, for communicating with other friends at school, and also can be used to report any illegal activity in school or students who break rules. Cell phones can be used as a distraction in some situations but in school they have a lot of different uses for a student.
In school teachers encourage education and whats not better than to give a student permission to use a cell phone. Cell phones enable a student to research about a certain subject or can be used as a tool in class to help solve a problem. For example, a student who is in an advanced math class needs to know if his answer to his problem is right, but the teacher is too busy to be able to help him. With his cell phone he can find out the answer by using an application that is able to be used as a calculator or he can search up the problem on the internet. Cell phones are thought to be a useless device on campus to some teachers, but in reality it can really help a child/student learn in school.
Communication in school is important and cell phones help with communication. Perhaps a student can not find his/her friend in school and they don't allow him/her to use his/her cell phone, how will he/she find his friend? Sure the student will find his/her friend at some point but if we had cell phones allowed at school, that student could find a friend easily just by being able to contact each other and tell each other where to meet up. Cell phones are know to be the cause of drama at school, but most of the time it helps a student who want to communicate with people around his school.
In school some students are up to no good, so why not let students report these delinquents at the time they do something bad. When trouble starts at school someone will need to report this immediately and what better way to report it by using a cell phone. Since a cell phone can be used to talk to people over long distances, a student does not need to run for help instead they can just call the principal or police at the time someone breaks rule or starts a problem. Cell phones are thought to be the ones causing the problems on campus, but really it is the device that should be helping resolve these problems instantly.
Cell phones are great devices and should be able to be kept on campus for students to use. Not only do they show educational value, but they also help in communication and in student reporting. The principal should not think of cell phones as distractions and useless devices, but instead to make it a great tool for students to use during school.
