Hello PMC community! I'm writing this blog for the contest Minedeas. Like the title said, with this modification, you would be able to build an Empire on Minecraft.
What is the name of the new game mode?
Instead of playing on Survival, Creative, Hardcore or Adventure, you would be playing on a new game mode called Conquest. What would be different from the other game mods? What does it add? I will explain everything.
How does it works?
When you create a new world, you would be surrounded by some villagers/humans. You were planning on building a new city. After the plans were made, someone has to be the leader. You're the only one that offered to be the leader of your small community. Everyone agreed, and now you have to start building the city. You have to get resources, like stone, wood, and all that stuff first. After you gather a X number of wood/stone/etc, you would have to speak with the city's builder, so he can start constructing the king's castle. Or you could build it by yourself.
After the castle is made, you will provide shelter to the villagers, and now you have to get more resources to build houses for them. Each of the villagers will pay you after their house is done.
You have to start hiring villagers. Each of them has their own professions. There would be Miners, Blacksmiths, Priests, Farmers, you name it! As your future city grows, there are more people to live in there. Since there are Miners, you don't have to get the resources by yourself, but you have to build a wall to protect your people from the mobs. You can either buy the stone from the money that you have or get the resources by yourself.
Now that you have a wall constructed, you have to get an army to protect your city. You can find men that live in the forests, jungles or deserts, take them to your city, and recruit them to the army. Or you can simply recruit the people from your city, but they would be limited, forcing you to search for more men outdoors.
Finally, your city is done. Or is it? Since you have lots of resources, the kings from other cities, or even Empires, want to conquer yours. Since their army is bigger, you have to make some good plans to make them retreat. When you expel them from your city, you win respect by the other kings. You realize that you're city isn't big enough, and you need a better and bigger army. Your objective is to conquer other cities and Empires. With this, you get richer, respected by everyone and a powerful man. You can also ally with other Emperors, and work together to keep your Empires safe and prosperous.
But be careful! There maybe conspirators that want to kill you and take down all the work that you've done! You have to be sure who you can trust and if you find someone suspicious, send him/her to the jail! And also, there can be zombie invasions and they can turn everyone in your city!
How could it make Minecraft better?
I think that with this new game mode, Minecraft would become more interesting and fun. You would have an objective, instead of just mining, crafting and kill mobs. Not saying that it isn't fun to do that stuff, but sometimes, we may want to try new stuff out, isn't it?

How could it make Minecraft better?
I think that with this new game mode, Minecraft would become more interesting and fun. You would have an objective, instead of just mining, crafting and kill mobs. Not saying that it isn't fun to do that stuff, but sometimes, we may want to try new stuff out, isn't it?
