Hi there. I'm CECMiner. I am not much into blogging but I decided to post this because I've had it in my brain for so long.

Okay, Minecraft has changed. We all know that. You know, the horses, quartz, carpets, etc.
But not only the game has changed. We have too.

Let's go back to the early versions of Minecraft. You see, in these versions, we players only built small, simple, and ordinary houses. As the game grew, our abilities did too. From simple dirt or stone houses they became big-time apartments, cities, mansions! Before, these small houses were probably made from diamonds or gold. We always made our shelters with the best material ever. I'm talking about building in creative btw. But now, they're only made from wool or wood. Take note that this article is not a rant. I am basically informing you that we are changing with minecraft.

Moving on to skins. Ah, skins. This is the main reason I wrote this. Skins before weren't as beautiful as the ones we see today. Those skins were pixelated, simple, basic. They always stuck to the 16x16 concept of minecraft. But look at them today. They are now gracefully shaded and complicated (but awesome). I am not saying that we should stop shading.

To the Resource Packs. Before, they were called Texture Packs. Texture Packs before were only mostly 16x16 or smaller. There weren't that much HD Packs back then. Now, there are Resource Packs. They not only change the textures of mobs and items. They also change the sound now! These sounds alter the original atmosphere of minecraft, which is pretty cool. I, again, am not saying that these should be reverted to the original 'texture packs'.

Last but not least, the modifications (mods). I don't have much to say about this. Mainly because the mods before are just updated to today's latest version. So, that's it.

To be honest, I haven't really played the Beta stages of Minecraft. I started playing at 1.2.5. Now you may be thinking, where did I get the guts to post about the older versions when I haven't played them yet. Believe me, I've seen enough gameplay of the older versions to learn them.

Conclusion: The longer minecraft will change, the more our skills may or may not improve. As long as we still have the energy to keep playing, we could keep 'evolving' with minecraft or get left behind.
