A project I'm involved in has been shortlisted for the Tate Gallery IK Prize: Shortlist ow.ly/syNAl
Its an interactive virtual world where you can "walk into" paintings and artist studios of old and explore the history of art like never before. It will be build using the popular sandbox gaming platform Minecraft.
This opens up art and the history of art to an audience most believed unreachable.
it also blurs the boundaries between the virtual and real world.
Just being shortlisted is a great step forward and shows that the world and the typically dogmatic world of traditional art is realising the power of gamification of education.
