A lot of hate is being spread around about a more or less "new" program for making mods, called MCreator. My quest was to find out, why MCreator has so much hate. There are several reasons for it.
1) Many more experienced modders have a lot of hate for it because it takes away the skill needed to make a good mod.
2) Experienced modders also hate it because they find all the mods created by it, dumb, stupid, and overall lacking.
To complete the quest I decided I'd try the program out, to see how it runs, feels, and the overall level of hardness modding was. I was surprised at how hard it actually was. Now I know this seems like a shock, considering it's a point and click system, but in reality the only way to edit the base of you're mod was to either 1) edit the java code, or 2) delete the whole mod and start again if you mess up at all.
About the mods lacking content. You can create extremely diverse mods with MCreator. I played around with it for 15 minutes and I'd already created a working Dimension, portal and ignition, a new ore, gun, ammo for the gun, a whole new toolset, and the mod had its own creative tab. The modders using MCreator are the problem for the mods lacking content, or being boring, ETC. Not the program itself.
Now, I want YOUR opinion. Do you like MCreator? I don't want to start a flame war, so please keep it calm, but give an honest answer.

The experienced modders should know that their mods will always be superior. MCreator doesn't deserve much hate. Let the people who doesn't have knowledge to code in java have fun with MCreator.
MCreator mods, usually, don't have much quality, but it's not MCreator fault. Blame the creator, not the program.
I still think that MCreator mods shouldn't be allowed on PMC because the site needs to keep good quality mods, not a mod that can be made in 15 minutes by anyone. But everyone can have fun, so we shouldn't hate or start a war because of that.
There is one problem when i want learn coding mods. I must download one thing from oracle and of course i must create a account and I must give my work number and stuff like that -_-
I think MCreator is a great program, but java-programmed mods are still better cause you've more options to choose - namely all.
