Hello my wonderful friends! Welcome to the very first Manga Review where I basically inform you of good or bad manga and what I think about them. The first post will be on the Splatoon manga! It's one of my favorites because I love to play the Splatoon 2 game.
We'll start with a category and talk about how it's good and bad.


Plot: 8/10

The plot is simple. Four inklings get caught up in Splatoon Turf Wars, and must ink their way to the CoroCoro Cup. They battle strong S+ rankers, like the S4, and almost always succeed. The thing is, they won their first battle and that's pretty unlikely in Splatoon battles, as you haven't gained your skill yet. Overall the plot is pretty good, just a bit too much like the game. In issue 2 two of the characters are fighting Octolings and DJ Octavioin hero mode. It's really quick and short, as it only takes up two small chapters but it's still a fun addition.

Characters: 9/10

The characters are funny and have moments where they're pretty dumb, but they are still really great. The main characters are Goggles, Headphones, Bobble Hat, and Specs (My personal fav), and the names they are given come from the headgear they wear. Goggles may be the leader of the team but he's quite stupid. he always shows up for things without clothes on, pulls Rider (Middle of the picture)'s pants down for some odd reason. Then Bobble Hat, who is always smiling and having a great time. Specs and Headphones are just there, and being smarter than the other two.

Art: 10/10

The art style is amazing and pretty. It honestly looks just like a 2D version of the official game and absolutely love it. It's cute, funny, and it fits the manga perfectly. It captures the details of each stage in the Splatoon wonderfully as well. Now the art isn't a lot too talk about so let's wrap this up.
