Hello everyone! Today, I am going to inform you on an improvement I would like to see in the Minecraft community.
First off, I always thought of this when I first started playing Minecraft, back in 2011, I thought it would be amazing if Minecraft had it's very own 'Friends List', so you could join servers that have your friends on them. I had the idea that since there's a list of all the names in the map you're in when you press 'Tab', you could click on one of the names, and have an 'Add Friend' button, or something like that.
There could be a friend icon in the setting area when you press 'Esc', and it would show up your list of friends, it could say if they were online or offline, and a 'Join Server' button if it's a public server, for example:
1) Press esc
2) Press 'Friends List'
3) Find designated friend
4) Press on them, click 'Join Server'
5) Join the server they are in
Now, some of you might be thinking "The famous Minecrafters will get spammed with Friend Requests!!!" Yes, that could happen, but I know from personal experience on somewhere like Hypixel, if there is a famous Staff, Youtuber, ect, there name is highlighted, so if you clicked on them in the tab area there wouldn't be an 'Add Friend' button.
Also, possibly there could be an option in the setting to turn Friend Requests off, so you wouldn't get notifications.
There are some holes in this idea, some people might love it, and some might hate it. I just think it would be useful to have for those moments when you meet someone awesome, and you may never get to see them again. It's happened to me plenty of times.
- Side note, I know that there are mods for this, or upcoming mods, I mean like with an actual update.
