Today I'm going to share with you how to rename block/item names in-game. I've been looking around all the .class files and I couldn't seem to find a blockSand = "Sand"; or something around those lines. Finally, after a long journey across the bin folder, i've found the answer...

can i do this for my texture ack beacuse it didnt seem to work but there two title.stupid text =name and ill try edit both

Alright your lang folder is in your (for pcs) Assets > minecraft > lang > en_US.lang (lang may be different for others)

You mean there isn't a lang folder in your minecraft.jar? Remember it's not in your .minecraft folder, you have to look in the minecraft.jar

It's came up with a Minecraft, and I've tried to run it but it says:
A Jar Exception Has Occurred

You need to open minecraft.jar with WinRAR, not Java.

1) What system are you running minecraft on? (Mac, Windows, etc.)
2) Make sure you aren't running minecraft at the same time you are editting it.

I don't think the picture is appropriate for PMC. Either change it, or get flagged. It's a shame this is a good tutorial.
