This is actually more simple than you think.
No tinkering, no mods, no BS. Just 1 command.
/effect <User> 21 1000000 10
The "10" is a variable used to determine how many extra hearts you recieve. 10 = 22 extra hearts
The "1000000" is a variable used to determine how long you get it. Since it is 1000000, it glitches and makes it infinity.
The "21" is the effect ID of the extra hearts.
The only way you can get rid of these hearts is to die or drink milk.
