Changing your minecraft launcher picture
What I mean by this is changing the little bits at the bottom of the launcher. Doing this is different depending on what platform you use. If the platform you use isn't on this list try the linux instructions. To do any of use any of these you need an image editor .
Example download link
On a mac
Watch the video or:
- Open the folder where your minecraft launcher is
- Make a backup of your minecraft launcher
- Right click your minecraft launcher and press "show package contents"
- Then go to to the folders contents/resources/java
- Make a backup of minecraftlauncher.jar
- rename it to "minecraftlauncher.jar.zip and say use.zip, double click the zip file you created
- and open the folder
- Using an image editor open the files dirt.png and logo.png
- Your done. Play minecraft to see your new launcher in effect
On linux
- Open your minecraft launcher with archive manager (Included with linux)
- Open net/minecraft,Edit dirt.png and logo.png
- Your done. Play minecraft and see the results
On windows
- Go to minecraft.net and download the linux/other version
- Download an archiving program or follow these instructions
- showing file extensions
- Press the Alt key
- Open the Tools menu and click "Folder options..."
- Go to the View tab
- Turn off "Hide extensions for known file types"
- Press OK
- Press the Alt key
