Faction Wars – Taking Out The Ringleader


So, you are in a moderately successful faction on a relatively popular server. Your faction was won many wars, completed many successful raids and your base is big and protected.


But there is another faction identical to the one you are in. There have been no past confrontations between the two factions, but the other faction is beginning to attack your allies. The owner of your faction has declared war on the other faction. He assigns you to kill the leader and take his items. What do you do?


Deceive, deceive, deceive.


The first thing you need to do is make the owner of the other faction think you are on his side. Give him items that you pretended to steal from your own faction. Defend him from dangerous mobs. Trash talk your faction. Compliment him on his skin or how awesome his base is. Give him advice. Just deceive.


Deny, deny, deny.


This one could be classed under deceive, but this really comes after you deceive the owner of the other faction. Deny ANY alliance with your faction, simply state that you “Only joined because you didn’t want to look like a jerk to your friends”. Then maybe do a little more deceiving.


Formulate a plan, formulate a plan, formulate a pl- Ok, that one doesn’t work.


You can’t just deceive and deny. You need to come up with a successful and well thought out assassination plan. There are many ways to do this. Speak with the strategist in your faction, and then brainstorm. Here are a few ideas:


1.) The chests.


This one is probably my favourite. Step 1, get to the top of a cliff or a mountain or something like that. Step 2, say to the owner of the enemy faction that you are at your factions secret chests. Step 3, tell the owner of the enemy faction to tpa to you. Step 4, when he teleports to you, hit him off the edge of the cliff. Make sure the cliff is tall!


2.) TNT assassination.


For this plan, you NEED TNT. Make a chest at one end of a cave, and you will say that is where your factions diamonds are kept. Use stone pressure plates instead of wooden ones, they will work better, because they are less visible. Place gravel underneath the pressure plates, then place the TNT under the gravel. The enemy faction owner should run up, step on the pressure plates, then fall. If you want to be EXTRA deadly, put lava at the bottom of the pit.


3.) The faction ambush.


For this one, the whole faction needs to be involved. Equip all the members with good armour, then get them to hide behind something, shifting so the enemy faction owner can’t see them. Then say, like number one, that you are at your factions secret chests. When you accept the enemy faction owner’s tpa request, make all of your faction members jump out in ambush! The element of surprise combined with all your faction will overpower the enemy faction owner.


Seeing that their leader has been killed, the enemy faction should back down. If they don’t straight away, just threaten and intimidate them until they do. Tell them you have set traps in their base and will only remove them if they stop attacking your allies. This is called intimidation. (Yay, thanks Chetcat) and is a brilliant weapon.


The owner of a faction normally has brilliant loot, enchanted diamond, god swords, god bows etc etc. Share the loot out, you don’t want a war in the faction you are in!
