Told By The Perspective of Oliver(Our Main Character)



Darkness... Let's not start there. My name is Oliver and I am the third born to Darkness.
You may ask, what is Darkness? Well, I will tell you. Many years ago, there were people of many different families of all different colors, genders, et cetera. No one argued. There were no issues of any kind. This society was deemed perfect. There hadn’t been a war for eighteen years. Life-expectancy was at an all-time high. Mental Disorders were a thing of the past. It was great… so I’m told. That was fifty-eight years ago. Now, there is nothing but Darkness. This brings me back to the original question: what is Darkness? Darkness is the term used to describe the next leaders of the world after the Drakes invaded. There is a hierarchy; it goes like this: Drakes, Darkness, Devils of Light, and Mortans. Each of these groups, or covenants, rather, were established by the Drakes. The Drakes were more powerful than anyone had predicted, so we submitted to their power after one short battle. They took control of all of the monsters and make the ender dragon look like a domestic bird. Drakes are massive. Nothing can stop them…except me, as I’m told…


PART TWO


The world is not what it seems-a corny expression, but a true one nonetheless. I began in this world in a dim light. My father was nothing special before the invasion, and my mother was born after. Their age gaps were large, but they were most definitely in love. I will now begin to tell you of my parents’ fates. My father partook in the one and only battle between…well…I’ll call them “the resistance” and the Drakes. However, my father was not killed directly by a Drake. He died as many of the others that were in the battle did-poisoning. The Drakes have a strange aurora about them. A sort of field that makes them not impenetrable, but toxic to be in close range with. At the time, the best thing that we could use as weapons were majestic swords made of pure diamond. My father had managed to do the most damage in the entire battle for the resistance-he nearly killed one Drake. After the battle and submission, the Drakes set us apart from the rest of the people; referring to us as “Darkness.” Everyone in my family is considered a member of “Darkness,” but I am the third truly born into the name by blood. The number three has been a number that has been respected and adored by my family for many years. It never made sense to me, but I simply went along with it. I have been treated godly since my inception, and I have come to believe that I’ll be the one to save this world…
