Hello people of PMC! My name is Ben and I'm a new blogger. (Pfft, Of course we don't have enough s&*^^y bloggers already)
This is my first blog and the subject I'm choosing is. Criticism.

So where do I start? How about, what the hell is Criticism? Well in my wording "Criticism is when someone judges a piece of item or work and spots out the negatives and positives in it, usually in a intellectual way"

Usually alot of artists can't grasp this concept. When receiving constructive criticism they get very defensive. Why can't artists grasp that this isn't happening?old-yellerjpg

The Critic, is usually making actual points. Like how the colours don't quite compliment each other and how you should try maybe a different set. This isn't flaming, its giving constructive Criticism. Artists usually defend themselves as they can't take the god damn Criticism! Now I'm going to say myself. Criticism is the equivalent of someone taking a s%$t on your work. But this s%$t will actually help you develop as an artist and a person yourself. Thats why people who take criticism are good at what they do as they WANT to improve. TL : DR : Artists can't take criticism for s%$t

Now sometimes the Critic isn't actually giving constructive criticism usually its that one guy who is just like "It Sucks"
Either your work just generally sucks and he can't provide any feedback. (This happens, fo realziez) Or he's a troll. If he's a troll just walk past happily and flip the middle finger! Now as a critic. YOU CAN'T BE BIASED. "I lik dis pating bcuz iz blu" Thats your OPINION. Now when Criticising offering your personal opinion is good. But you also got be constructive and not an a$$h01e. Talk about how they can IMPROVE there work. Not to your personal opinion. But IMPROVE it. Maybe they used a interesting colour combination which didn't quite work? Point that out and offer a different colour combination. Also suggest tricks and shizzle that will help them. Usually things people don't know. TL : DR : Don't be a d1!$h£Ã D

It dosen't even matter...

In Conclusion. If your the artist, accept it and try to incorporate what they said into your next piece of work. If your the Critic, be a good guy and offer them and tips. Also, your probably going to offer constructive feed back right now too me. So go on do it. But remember, actual feedback is the key...
