Being a big minecrafter, I like to think about updates. I never really know what I'll like or dislike about each update, but when each update happens, I usually have mixed feelings. Today I'm going to decide for myself: Are updates good or bad? with the data below. With it, I'll add my suggestion for what we should do with updates.

My Good Feelings:What could happen new? There is a world of possibilities that Mojang created. Anything could be added, from a new biome to planes. I always get excited for a new thing. It makes minecraft more interesting and I love when that happens.

My Bad Feelings:Ugh. It may take a while for servers to update, and now I have to wait to get my mods for a little while? Also, a lot of the updates get boring after a little bit. In my opinion, horses were very overrated. I never ride/see them so I feel that there is really no point of even having them.

These are most of my feeling on updates. With that, I can make my decision.

Updates are:

[ ] Good

[ ] Bad

[x] Equal

Since I chose equal, cause I like some updates, not all, my solution is that we have updates less often, and get a lot broader with the updates. Make minecraft more modern. It would give us time to prepare for an update.

Hey, we are all in titled to our own opinions. If you have a different one or a suggestion for my blog, just tell me.

I would go with equal on this too. Usually, I'd say that updates are good, since the stuff they add is usually pretty cool, and with1.7 coming, a lot of new command blockthings are coming out, whichI personally think is amazing,BUT, it's also bad because most servers don't update that fast (due to bukkit taking months to release a stable build), in addition to the fact thatbarely anyonewill go on your server if it isn't the latest version :

So, yeah, pretty equal. Although, I do believe that Mojang should release this updates a bit faster (especially this one, since I want to change my username so bad XD)

I personally like the constant additions, although I would agree with KiddShadow because if we have few HUGE updates, there's no time to look through all the additions! *cough* 1.7 *cough*
So more, smaller updates would be a little better.
Anyhow, all updates make me excited, even if it's just bug fixes. (Yay no more bugs!)

I wrote a similar blog about this, and I see it as the good parts of updates are going into decline. I feel it would be better to make many small updates rather than few huge updates, which end up ruining the feel of Minecraft.

Char is right. Plus there are not really many servers for older versions.

If you really like the old stuff, revert back to it... Minecraft lets you do that now. I myself enjoy the new stuff, it gives me new things to try when things get old.
