Microsoft wants to promote Bing search in their PC Manager tool as a "Security" provision. No, Microsoft, I am sorry; a choice of search engine that is logging everything for your profit isn't something I consider as "Security". In fact, the only security this brings is the potential money from more people using Bing by advertisers and data brokers who use your data in aggregate to narrow you down into a box, which can be de-anonymised and used against you anyway with enough effort by people vested in finding and destroying you for your lifestyle, beliefs or genetics.
Just say no. In fact, pick a source from here and use Searx, or become your own aggregate search source instead. You deserve better than to be reminded you are cattle for the data fiends who bear no remorse for invasion of your privacy. Do it in a different browser than Edge, even if it's another Chromium-based product such as Vivaldi. Give another OS a try; there are many Linux distributions you can play with using a USB stick and you need not install it to your on-board media if you find a distro whose live session you like and don't mind losing the data in that session when you power off your machine. They play Minecraft rather nicely! I have articles about this if you care to look!
