This is a letter/tutorial written by me as Steve to Alex(the new player skin/model) welcoming her to Minecraft.
Dear Alex,
Welcome to the wonderful world of Minecraft! I am excited for your arrival and hopeful that you will rapidly bring more players to the Minecraft community. As a courtesy, I have decided to compose this how-to guide, included below, to help you through your first experience in Minecraft. In this guide, you will learn about building a shelter, mining, and building structures, which are only limited by your imagination and look amazing. Trust me, it’s fun. Attentively reading this guide will help and empower you to quickly be at a point of success where you can help other new people learn how to play.
The first things you need to do to be superbly great at Minecraft are the following: As soon as you enter a new world, explore around some and find terrain which provides for your basic needs and appeals to you. After you have found your bountiful and beautiful land, you must start collecting basic tools. Then get food. By slaying pigs, cows, sheep, or rabbits, food can be attained. Terrified by that thought? Don’t worry. You can also eat fruit and mushrooms. Immediately after you have enough supplies, start building a shelter to protect you from a night, filled with monsters. Following this advice, you will survive your first night in Minecraft.
After you have successfully survived your first night in Minecraft, you need to start mining for materials, basic and fancy. When you make your mineshaft, be systematic. Starting a new straight row every two blocks over, you will not miss any supplies or get lost, which makes you starve. Also, leave no dark spots. Monsters, who are very sneaky and deadly, spawn in the dark and will then kill you when you least expect it, taking away you items. You should explore any caves, abandoned mineshafts, or ravines that you pop into and discover. Like a Thanksgiving turkey, they are stuffed full of ores. Finally, you need to know where to look to find really valuable ores. Diamond ores are usually found 12 blocks above the bottom of the world. Following these tips, you will have a profitable and fun mining experience.
Now for some fun. Now that you have collected materials, shiny and dull, it’s time for you to build. Building within a world, you can have fun, but you have to learn and remember some building basics. First, be sure to build with blocks that stay where you put them, not blocks that fall down like gravel. Secondly, don’t use too many special blocks like diamond and gold because they don’t look that good as decorations. When you are building buildings, wood and stone bricks look pleasing together. After you have built a section of your building, go through it and make sure that there are no dark spots where monsters, who hate you, can spawn suddenly and blow up your hard work. Have fun building.
Did you enjoy that guide? Surprisingly, making basic shelters, mining, and building are really the only things that you do in Minecraft. Summed up like that, Minecraft sounds really boring, but it is your imagination, loosed in Minecraft, that makes Minecraft so fun and exciting. When you play, remember that the most important thing you do is to have fun and help others also have fun. I send you this as a comrade in something beautiful which needs to be shared.
