One of the reasons I joined PMC was so I could make a personal Minecraft skin, since at the time I was just cycling through skins, but one skin soon got revised, and then re-made, and now, exactly 10 months later*, I have a whole collection full of IGEBM skins, by me and others. This is the story of that skin.

The Original Skin
So, after practicing in PMCSkin3D by making some other skins, like that smelting golem skin I made (which was my first skin), I felt I was finally ready to make my personal Minecraft skin. I wanted to base it on something I wear a lot in real life, since the skin itself was going to be based on what I actually look like. At the time, I had this gray hoodie (which I still have, but it doesn't really fit me anymore) that I wore to school everyday, so it was kinda special to me. Now, this was when I learned about noise, which I used for the varying textures of the clothing. The skin of my skin itself was a tan color, similar to my real skin tone, and I gave myself brown eyes (like my real eyes) and also used the noise for my black hair. In real life, it's curly, but I didn't know how to make it curly. I added a purple shirt and red pants, none of which I actually have (unless you count my camp shirt which is purple but also has the camp logo on it). Then, I did the hoodie, and added some finishing touches in the form of headphones (my skin was partly inspired by Eystreem's Minecraft skin, which also has headphones) and these things on my wrists which I call wristbands but which aren't really wristbands, but I don't have a better name for them. The skin was done. I published it under the name, "Gray Hoodie Gamer," but I went back to it a few days later and added an emerald to the front of the sweater and "G" to the back. (It didn't make much sense at the time, but now you know my name and it makes more sense.) Then, I changed the name to "IGEBM," my MC and PMC username, and I never went back to it after.

The Story
After the IGEBM skin was completed, I made several other versions of it, each one inspired by something I was watching at the time: a doctor (based on Painful's zombie apocalypse 100 days video), a survivor skin which had a lot of blood and no hoodie (inspired by various survival island 100 days challenges), and that skin led to a skin without the hoodie. Each of these skins also had a story, and it all connected. You can read that story here. This story followed IGEBM on his many adventures across the world, from a zombie apocalypse to joining a mage tribe to working at a space organization. During this time, I also made some other versions of the skin, specifically an HD version of the original skin, a black hoodie version of the skin, and a summer variant of it with me in a tie-dye shirt. Now, the black hoodie skin became my new Minecraft skin, inspired by the wooly black hoodie I have, which I now wear to school along with a camouflage version. I actually have a funny story about the black hoodie skin, part of which you can read here. However, a short summary of it was that I went to Puerto Rico for Spring break, lost WiFi on the plane, and that logged me out of my PMC account. I forgot the password, but once I got home I was able to log back in and make the black hoodie IGEBM skin.

The Fire Logo
Now, around the time that I made the black hoodie and summer skins, I was really getting into PrestonPlayz, and I wanted to incorporate that into my skins. So, you know what I did? I found a PrestonPlayz skin, copied the fire logo pixel by pixel on the black hoodie skin, and then gave it the colors gold, purple, and cyan. (Also, just so you know, my favorite colors are cyan and turquoise.) That became a cyan fire logo on my summer IGEBM skin, which, by the way, I never wore in Minecraft. One last thing that happened on the black hoodie skin was that the wristband on my left arm was now silver and purple instead of silver and cyan like the other one.

Inspired by Branzy
On my next IGEBM skin, which was made in May, I gave myself a wooly sweater, a scarf, some gloves, and these things on my arm which I'll explain in a second. So, at this time, I was getting into Branzy, who, if you don't know, is a YouTuber who used to be on Echocraft SMP and who is now on Lifesteal SMP (a server where when you die, you lose a heart). Anyways, I was watching a series Branzy and other Echocraft YouTubers did on the server, where they split into two sides (Caves and Cliffs) and went to war. That inspired me to start this world in the mountains where I was going to build a castle (which I never built), and I needed a new skin to go with it. The things on my arm are inspired by that thing on the left arm of Branzy's skin (if you've seen it you know what I'm talking about). Anyways, little did I know I would wear that skin for a very short time...
