Hey guys ! Today I show you my new modern project, this time dedicated to my home region, Catalonia, which National Day was the 11th September.
To whoever doesn't know about what Barcelona is, it' s a beautiful city over the Mediterranean Sea, and the capital city of Catalonia, in Spain. It's also where the world famous football club comes from too.
The aim of this project was to recreate a part of the city of Barcelona, but also give off the celebration environment of a day like this. In this day catalan people celebrate their catalanity in multiple ways, although recently the Catalonia's National Day has been considered to be a day with strong political beliefs.
Since it is a day we catalan people tend to be outdoors, I could not upload this project yesterday, as I did the same thing lots of us did.
The project consists in two of the main sights of Barcelona city: The Olympic Village and the Arc de Triomf. Both are slightly different from the real life versions, but I decided to build them in my own way. In the centre, there is a modern sculpture that was inspired by the traditional catalan human castles, called "Castells".
You can find both sites in the Cubed Creative server, by doing /warp Barcelona.
