How do i download and use mob skins for java?
specifically trying to download https://www.planetminecraft.com/mob-skin/multicolored-shulker/#tab_java this shulker box skin. im clicking the download button and choosing java with the undyed shulker selected but when i click to download it nothing happens. i tried the download button below it and i have the file of the textures but its different than the zip files that work for my other texture packs i use.

Just tried and it worked for me… (1.17 version)
Looked at the pack structure after unzipping and didn't see anything unusual either.
If the 'button below' is the one labeled "DOWNLOAD MINECRAFT MOB SKIN", this also works for me providing the expected 64x64 png file expected
Not sure why "DOWNLOAD MINECRAFT MOB SKIN PACK" doesn't work if you are logged into the site (I've never gotten it to work when not logged in.)
You might also try loggin out clearing cookies and cache, then returning and trying again…
