Hello, i am trying to make a game on 1.12.2, in which there are no death messages, but rather it shows the cause of death after the match. The problem is, i dont know how to detect if someone died from an explosion. Is there any way to detect it through scoreboards?

Pretty sure this isnt possible without the use of a custom advancement (with the entity_killed_player trigger and source entity as the tnt)

I don't think there's a great way to do that in 1.12 - the main way I know is to detect damage in an advancement, but you kinda need a data pack for that.

I guess you could try executing as any tnt/creeper that has a fuse value of 0 (or maybe 1), and then in the next ticks check if any player has died from the Deaths scoreboard. Not foolproof, but it might work well enough.
