Prologue
Something Off
It was a beautiful lake, I was out on a canoe gifted to me by my father, and there was my family name engraved on the side " Holz ". The ripples of the water made by the canoe were soothing as I used the oars to row back and forth in a hypnotizing rhythm. The rhythm, the ripples of the water, and the quiet atmosphere with birds chirping every here and there were perfect, and I believed that nothing could ruin this experience. That was until something caught on the bottom of the boat and made me and the boat flip over. To get up to the surface of the water, I tried to swim up, however, the boat hit my head and I fell unconscious, before my vision and touch went, I felt a strange material grab my leg and pull me down despite the life jacket I was wearing.
I wake up and cough out a bunch of water, looking down and my clothes are soaked. I shake my head as if in a way to clear my head and look around to see where I am. The same lake... but there's a hint of something off, or wrong. It's almost like a red filter was put on the world. I chuckled to myself, "This would be a cheesy horror movie or series plot." Getting up and off the ground, I go to explore this weird Stranger Things bull. Looking around I feel multiple eyes on me, as if I'm being watched by monsters of the shadows. I look for a weapon, a tree branch that's broken off would work, but how would I make it sharp enough to protect myself?
After finding a good enough weapon (which was a dull broken tree branch) I started exploring, my weapon at the ready for anything. I heard a growl and looked behind me, a monster reminiscent of a wolf, with matted bloody fur, sharp teeth digging into its own gums and claws sharper than Gorden Ramsay's knives, and attitude for that matter. I noticed the wolf preparing for an attack so I raised my dull stick and planned to shove it down the wolf's throat. The wolf lunged at me and I went through with my plan in the process and a huge bite, it felt like sharp rugged knives stabbed into my skin, it felt unbearable. (GORE PARTS NOT AVAILABLE)
