This would be way to difficult to make work coding wise I think. On paper it seems like a good idea but i cant see how it would work in the long run. A lot of reports are valid but have ZERO evidence and mods are left searching to find out how this one thing is stolen. Forums are currently in a rework and I believe a Forum Side XP ranking will be available for this so we can cut that out entirely. Chat isnt one we really need any type of incentive towards for reports, chat mods have a good handle on that one.
And of course, how would we trace this? Like, is there a box "Yes this was a valid report!" What happens if the report wasn't valid and we restored the submission? How would that coding work? We would then need to PM that member telling them it was invalid because I know for a fact that they would then want an email system for when their report was handled.
I can see trophies possible given out for maybe certain goals like "Made 100 valid reports!" But not XP.

Rewards for valid reports
Pros:
- Encourages people to make reports
- More people reading the rules, and less rule-breaking submissions posted in the first place
- Something to do when members are bored
- Ultimately a more organized website
Cons:
- People bragging and turning it into a competition
- "Look how many reports I have Paril can I be mod?!?"
- "How come the mods can make more XP than us?!? Power aboos!"
- Too many reports for the current mod team to handle, will definitely require more mods
- Spam reports and people reporting without even reading the rules
I think this could work if there is a very strong emphasis on reading the rules and that false/spam reports are punishable.
