Remove Deleted/Banned Accounts From Subscribers List

I was scrolling through my Subscribers list and noticed that there are a handful of accounts that seem to have been deleted/banned for a couple of years, and I was wondering if this is an overlooked part with accounts, or if it was intentional. I feel as though deleted accounts should be removed from lists because they don't have much of a use for a typical user. I've tried removing them by managing my subscribers, but it does not seem to work for both banned accounts along with deleted IDs. Although this is a super niche thing, I think it would it would be helpful to have that option available for someone like me who wants to keep the number accurate to the amount of active followers

I would have them, I have a friend who left pmc and I am subbed to him as a memory point. We are still in contact, yet pretty rare

It would lower sub counts.
I know they're inactive subs, but I still don't want that to happen...

There's an option to manually remove accounts from your subscriber count which would be helpful to have a more accurate number of active followers. I'll probably change the title to focus more on deleted accounts rather than banned ones since those who are deleted are irreversible changes. I'd rather have an accurate number instead of being filled with ghosts of once active users. There is an option that's available right now for removing subscribers, but it doesn't work for deleted/banned accounts.

To delete an account, you must request a ticket for a staff member to help out. I don't think someone who wants their account deleted would be interested in seeing their past history. They are aware that this will remove all submissions and posts made on the account, so why not their subscriptions? I have a couple of deleted/banned accounts that I can never remove on my own because the link to their page doesn't exist anymore. In a literal sense, they serve as filler.

If an account is deleted it would either be removed or replaced with anon(somenumbershere). If the account is locked you wont be able to access their page but it will still show anywhere their name was linked such as on a submission of theirs or subscriber list. In either case you can remove any account from your subscriber list, deleted/locked/active by adding them to your block list via copy and paste, you can immediately unblock them if you wish and it wont resub them.

Also more recently the ability for users to delete their own account has been added to the settings page, we do still get a fair amount of tickets about it however.

As far as the idea, Cyp may go for it, cant really speak to that, but I dont personally think it is needed for banned accounts, only deleted accounts if it doesnt already do that. Banned users can still use the site to view content and I believe can interact with it in every way a non banned user can besides commenting. They are only restricted from adding to the site due to their inability to follow rules, not consuming content on the site (cant really do much about that anyways). Additionally this would hurt users who are temp banned as well, or users who are mistakenly banned or even appeal their bans.

The idea that it artificially inflates the sub count to leave these there is also maybe a bit poorly worded for what you might have meant. As long as those users were legitimately subscribing at one point, even if they left the site now, it was not artificial boosting, simply inactive subscribers. This is a problem for any long running community with any sort of follower count. If you look at older youtube channels whose views have fallen off despite sub count not decreasing it shows the same sort of thing on a larger scale, although there is definitely far more actual artificial sub increasing due to the size of the site compared to ours, more botting and other illegitimate stuff going on there.
