I would like to request the ability to receive notifications for a group as a whole, for example, if someone posts to the guest book asking to join, it would be helpful to get notified so you don't check the group 3 months later having no idea anyone did anything.
I think that's a great feature to add. I've seen many groups where the owner/admins don't check on the guest book often, which leads to many requests being unfulfilled.
