A simple resource pack I made, replacing the wolf texture with a texture based on the dog Nelson the Bull Terrier (Walter), as well as replacing a few paintings with Walter and, soon, Doge/Cheems related paintings, as well as a sound file that replaced one of the bark sounds, which is just a robotic "Walter", in the alternative link.
This pack is made with the idea in mind that this would be how Mojang would make the textures if for some reason they wanted to. This pack should go well with any other 16x16 texture pack (if I could figure out how to make a higher res version I might.) I recommend putting it at the top of your resource pack loader.

I plan on, sometime soon, to remodel the wolf to give it a body more anatomically correct for a bull terrier dog.

Any criticism and ideas will be appreciated.
