Since we now have a ton of default skins I thought Mojang would take their time to recolor them and add them as zombie variants. I'm still waiting.

But now thanks to this you wont have to wait any longer.


This pack makes changes to
  • Zombies
  • Husks
  • Drowned
  • (and their baby variants)


Drowned have glowing mouths and their outer layer removed. Normal zombies have glowing white-ish eyes. Husk have nothing.

Emmisives work without needing shaders.
It also include 3px arm variants (which breaks compat with all and any other resourcepack that modifies zombie textures.)



Feel free to let me know if something's broken or if there are any suggestions regarding the pack.
If you wanna send more screenshots of the Zeds, feel free to send them to me. I'll add them as examples of the pack!

On demand I've created a quick patch for my ZM textures to work with fresh animations.I really dion't understand how model animation works but I think I pulled it off. If there's something wrong let me know in the comments over there.

Is there any way to make this compatible with Fresh Animations? Every time I try the zombies either act like normal or the model breaks. I hope theres a fix!

Though it isnt as good as this one, so keep your eye out for a patch for this pack.

I really don't know how Fresh animation does the black magic that it does but my guess is models animation.

There should be a way to make a compatibility patch but I'd take me some time to learn the basics of model animation.

On the other hand I could ask them for advice to see if there's an easy way to port it.



If you load this RP on top of Fresh Animations the zombies should become my zombies, if you load it below it will break their models, so your best bet for now is using one or the other.



I'll keep in touch and upload a patch if I can make it work.

I don't think it makes sense for the rusting prosthetic to reveal an arm underneath (assuming that's what the green is). I think it should instead have that arm end where the prosthetic normally begins

Oh, I can see that now. I wanted to keep the drowned theme in line with copper so I turned their metallic bits into copper. It was supposed to be rust on the copper arm, just as the normal zombie variant had on thier prosthetic, but now I realize drowned skin and oxidized copper tones are a little bit too similar. I'll see if I can make it look like kelp since that would too stay in theme.

The pack I'm using is a mish-mash of different packs while I'm working on individual textures.

iirc stone belongs to Jicklus. The wood is Mizuno's and the sand is just vanilla sand but wiht a noise filter to make 8 different variations. The glowing ores are just the vanilla textures but made emmisive by cutting the stone around them and saving that image as (ore_name)_e.png
