ABOUT
The Liminal Spaces Project is a horror experience within Minecraft that will make you feel like you're in another game. Inspired by certain creepypastas such as the Backrooms, it introduces concepts that depict empty or abandoned places with a eerie atmosphere.Your objective is to progress in this adventure map through different stages, with challenges along the way.
This is the first adventure map of its kind made in Minecraft which uses realism and an exclusive mod to bring immersion. I hope you have a unique experience playing it.
IMPORTANT
This project is about a set of Resourcepack, Mod, Map, and Shader pack to achieve the same result in images and videos, and it's necessary to use them all together. It requires Optifine. If you need help installing everything correctly, visit our Help page in the Liminal Spaces section, where you can find a video explaining the installation step by step. If you have any questions, please contact us via Discord or our community on Patreon. Thank you!

1 Update Logs
Update #1 : by Designio Graphics 04/13/2026 1:48:50 pmApril 13 @ 5:48 pm UTC
Hey everyone,
It’s been a while.
Recently, this project started getting attention again after being featured in a YouTube video, and a lot of people came back to check it out.
Didn’t expect that at all.
This made me realize there’s still a strong interest in realistic liminal / horror environments in Minecraft.
But I want to be honest:
This project was originally discontinued because it took a huge amount of time to build, and at the time it didn’t get enough support to keep going.
So here’s the situation now:
I’m considering bringing this project back —
but this time, doing it properly.
Not just a small update…
but expanding it into something bigger, with more detailed environments and a stronger horror atmosphere.
However, I won’t jump into it blindly again.
I recently created a small support tier on my Patreon to see if there’s real interest in this kind of content.
If enough people support it, I’ll restart development.
If not, I’ll keep focusing on my current projects.
Either way, I really appreciate all the recent support and attention this project got again.
Didn’t expect it to come back like this.
More soon.
