Resource pack that modifies the look of Elytras to appear like jeweled beetle wings. Credit to @zubneo on Tumblr for the original beetle elytra art this pack was based on! :)

Note: For Windows users, please unzip the file and take out the "Beetle Elytra" folder: that's the folder you should be putting into your pack list! It will not show up on the pack list otherwise. Thanks to @Purple Snow for the workaround!

Hello, i play in minecraft pocket edition 1.17.11, so idk if your gonna read this but is there a way to download this in mcpe? cause i saw some tutorials but they did not work for me, i tried do convert zip to mcpack, tried to extract into the game files but none of it worked

hey there! unfortunately, I don't know of a way to download this pack into bedrock edition besides remaking the pack entirely, but downloading the pack does give you access to the textures this pack uses! if you're set on having this pack in bedrock, here's a link to a guide to making bedrock texture packs: https://minecraft.fandom.com/wiki/Tutorials/Creating_resource_pack_add-ons
from what you've said in your comment, I think that a potential issue might be that there's a decent amount of unique JSON code going into a bedrock texture pack that you need; just renaming it as an .mcpack file probably won't cut it
with some time and trial and error, the guide should be able to help you along if you want to remake the pack in bedrock for personal use only! good luck; i hope you'll have a good time :)

this texture pack is gorgeous!! the item textures don't work for me? when i have the elytra in my inventory/an item frame it just shows the default elytra texture, though the texture pack works for elytras that are equipped (both on a player and on armor stands). i'm playing on 1.16.5 for mac, to clarify. this happens both with and without optifine. i'm definitely gonna use it despite this, thank you for putting it up for other people to use :]

oh man, you're right! i'm taking a look in the 1.16.5 jar right now, and it looks like where the folder was previously named 'items' in other versions, it's changed to 'item' in 1.16.5. Going to try and make an 'item' folder in the elytra pack and add the elytra.png in there—i'll get back 2 u soon if it works!

alright, I tested it out and the elytra item texture should be working in 1.16.5 now with the new download file! just download the pack again and replace the old version :3

If you turned the elytra sounds into the sounds beetles made when they flew Idek what I'd do lol.

A bit weird that it doesn't have a broken elytra item texture, really nice looking overall though.

Also! I looked at your pack and I saw a few problems with it:

- pack.mcmeta : The pack format should be "6" not "2" Since this pack is for 1.16
-You pack is zipped with 2 folders inside: "_MACOSX" and "Beetle Elytra"
   **The "_MACOSX" folder is for Mac(?) and has another version of you pack within it
    while the "Beetle Elytra" is the one that works on Windows too

(And if you want you could remove all of the ".DS_Store" files too, it's unnecessary for the pack to work on Windows.)
