Tormentor Keep belongs to house Stirling. House Stirling is the house of a noble knight. This knight was very active during the viking raids, his castle was frequently under siege by the vikings because it sits on the northeastern part of Wustreron.
These viking attacks were so frequent that Ser.Stirling became paranoid and resentful. He started spending all his money on hiring mercenaries and expanding his castle’s defense. One time when vikings ships were passing by his castle he burned the entire fleet with the oil of house Baernan. He changed his banner to that of a viking ship burning and continued to resent the vikings until his death.
Now his castle is mostly repaired and is ruled by his grandsons. Fortunately the viking raids have slowed down significantly. The castle was called Tormentor keep because some people believed he was possessed by a Tormentor. Which is a black shadowy creature that feeds on people's worst fears and negative emotions.
Over time all the Heirs to Tormentor Keep became more and more corrupted and paranoid and dying younger and younger. Until this day they still haven’t found the Tormentor that hides in the crypt.
