USS Fletcher- Destroyer (Created by LemonGem3021668)

The most numerous class of destroyers ever produced with 175 examples, the Fletcher Class served in virtually all battles post-1942. Fast, well armed and highly manuverable, the Fletchers carried a main battery of 5inch guns in 5 single mounts. A large quanity of 40mm guns and 20mm guns serve as their primary close range AA armament. Their torpedo capabilites are nothing to laugh at either: each Fletcher carried 10 torpedoes in two quintuple mounts. They where amazing carrier esscorts and submarine hunters, and as a testament to their abillites the last of the class was not retired from active service until 2001. This ship represents the USS Fletcher as she appeared in 1944.
