As part of my Huntington ENR Yard project I required several different rolling stock options to use throughout the yard. It was an enjoyable challenge trying to make everything to a specific scale but be as realistic as possible. I am quite happy with the overall result and wanted to show them all off as well as a few other designs.
World save download NOW AVAILABLE. Please note that the world save only contains the railroad vehicles and not any structures such as the roundhouse pictured. I also ask that is you use any of these in your own projects make sure to give credit. These may also by found on the 'Esterlon Community Server'. I have provided a bit more information on each of the vehicles below with some links if any one is interested in knowing more.
The EMD DDA40X is an experimental, (hence the X in the name), 6,600 hp diesel-electric locomotive built by EMD from 1969 - 1971 for Union Pacific. Nicknamed "Centennial" and "Big Jack", the DDA40X uses two diesel engines (each 3,300 hp) and is the most powerful and longest single-unit diesel locomotive ever built.
The EMD F59PH is a 3,000 hp diesel-electric locomotive built by EMD from 1988 - 1994. Eighty-three locomotives were built for both commuter transit railroads, Metrolink of Los Angeles, California, USA and GO Transit of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. While Metrolink continues to use these locomotives today, in 2008, GO Transit began discontinuing operations using this locomotive.
These custom built coaches come in 4 variations. There is a regular passenger car, complete with overhead luggage storage and a washroom. The sleeper car contains only 3 beds and a small washroom. The dining/buffet car has a small seating are and some basic kitchen facilities. The mail/luggage car contains drawers for small package storage, tables for any sorting if need be, and some open space for larger packages.
GO coaches are used specifically by GO Transit in Southern Ontario, Canada. These bi-level coaches are built by Bombardier Transportation and have a seating capacity of 162 people per car.
A refrigerator car (or reefer) is a boxcar designed to carry perishable freight at specific temperatures. Refrigerator cars differ from simple insulated and ventilated boxcars as neither of which are fitted with cooling apparatus. Reefers can be ice-cooled, come equipped with any one of a variety of mechanical refrigeration systems, or utilize carbon dioxide (either as dry ice, or in liquid form) as a cooling agent. Milk cars (and other types of express reefers) may or may not include a cooling system, but are equipped with high-speed trucks and other modifications that allow them to travel with passenger trains.
This log car is a basic spine design having only a thick, but relatively small center beam for support between the two end platforms.
The 6-axle flatcar is reinforced to carry heavy equipment including, but not limited to, military equipment such as tanks. The design for this particular flatcar is based on this image.
HiRail vehicles, or road-rail vehicles, can operate on road and rail tracks as the name suggests. Many are converted road vehicles but other are specifically built for the purpose.

This update brings a whole bunch of changes.
To start there's all new pictures! Many of these pictures show updated versions of several engines as well as some all new engines and rolling stock. There have been changes to the designs of all engines, specifically to the bogie assembly. New engines added include the EMD SD75M, EMD F7 A unit and B unit, and two unfinished steam locomotives. Changes to the rolling stock include longer boxcars, tankers, hoppers, and flatcars. Bulkhead flatcars now come in 3 different lengths and centerbeam flatcars have been given a new longer design. A new coach has been added, the coach comes in 4 variations which are mail car, sleeper car, dining/buffet car, and your regular passenger car. The final 2 additions for this update are a new log car and a railroad breakdown crane.
With that said these new additions and changes have been added to the world and the world download has been updated.
