BETA 0.50 RELEASED, CONSIDER THIS FINAL, NO MORE UPDATES

Bad news guys, I am really sorry about this, but I have to release this now. I am sad I didnt fulfilled all promises, but there are several reasons which forced me to this decision: university, work, and other personal things / matters which will not be discussed here.
You can do with this map anything you want, finish it, or use it a s a template for stalker roleplay or whatever. Just make sure to give me credit, or you will meet thy light.
if you care you can write your intentions in the comments so I can check it out! I would love to see what people can make from this.

INFO: *I currently study at the university, so this project will take some time to finish.*

I realized that working by this tempo I will never finish it. As stated before, I became more busy than ever.
I therefore decided to drop some ideas/buildings I wanted to built. I decided to change project direction:
Main goal is now to finish this AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. I therefore have to make some sacrifices: no jupiter factory, less variety in buildings which are left to built. I will still make it correspond to satellite images, so you can find all buildings you see on the map. You can consider this map as a template for any survival server or single player experience.

This project's goal was to recreate the city of Pripyat, which was abandoned because of Chernobyl disaster in 1986. I know about other projects similar to my which died / or are still alive. I was not copying anything, everything was made from scratch. I was trying to recreate the area in 1:1 (1block = 1 meter) ((because of my fail math it is somewhere between 1:0,9 and 1:1)), It was going to include vast majority of buildings, I tried to be accurate, although I ccouldnt spend much time on details. I hoped to make every building equal to how it looks in real, but I find out that it is quite hard to make it happen, considering the number of buildings.

When I started I discovered some minor/major problems: I have no architecture skill, I don't know layout of flats in flatblocks/interior in most of the buildings so this will be pretty random (only hope are some photos I dug up), and I also don't know the height/width of buildings, I use Google earth ruler (that ruler is inaccurate so position of buildings may be wrong). Also, apartments will not have any furniture, just empty flats. Also there are some buildings which are oblique so I will have to reposition them.And I have no time for underground structures.

When are you going to release Pripyat?
I work on it quite irregularly, so I can't determine the exact day, but I hope before July (orientation date, not to be mistaken as definite).

So this is going to be exact replica of Pripyat city in Chernobyl exclusion zone?
I wish it could be, but because the lack of time it remains unfinished.

Are you building only Pripyat? How about more objects of interest near Pripyat?
Nuclear station is under consideration (here on PMC I saw some quite good replica already).

Why all buildings look so "blocky"?
Well architects of Pripyat kept ideas simple and I am just recreating what they did, you can look up Pripyat images and most of the buildings are "blocky". + I worked alone on this project, you cant expect miracles :P

Why is everything from stone/cobblestone/stonebricks?
Well, I was building with default texture pack, And these collours/ materials just fit well.I will not built a building from light blue wool just because the building is blue. If I do, i will not have a right feeling about the fact that I walk in building from wool, this is just not right. Also, fire would spread very quickly.

What can I do to make my experience in Pripyat most thrilling when it will finally came out?
1. Find Google earth map of Pripyat, its better to have a guide so you don't get lost and you don't miss any interesting places

2. Download S.T.A.L.K.E.R. cursor for windows (tested on win 7, may works on others, I dunno)

4. Set brightness too moody

5. Don't skip nights, don't use pickaxe to break trough buildings (you can use axe to brake trough wood planks)

Wtf is Nether mad dimension?
Well, if you somehow get bored from exploring the abandoned city, you can built gate to nether, which will teleport you to small (compared to the city, area itself is quite big) strange place where you have to do some challenges (I don't know which one, must think of some first)

IDEAS
: (can be scratched in future)

+ some buildings can contain mob spawners = more valuable loot nearby
+ spider nests in some buildings
+ custom sounds (cannot be done without external mods)
+ buildings released as schematics (in plans, after pripyat is finished)
+ mad dimension in nether (nearly done)
