the jolly green giant is still there and not relplaced its being used now, the green giant and dry dock 11 was built in late 50s specificly to build the uss enterprise[now finely decommisiond] and dry dock 12 was built in late 60s early 70s to build the nimitz class carriers, and get this that dry dock is largest in the world and can hold 2 carriers at once and newport news is the only place on the planet that can build the navys carriers, so dry dock 12 can build 2 carriers at same time but they mainly use it to build 1 carrier and put another one in same drydock at same time[they build newest carrier at the back and flood the front if they need to bring in another 1 if dry dock 11 is being used] so newport news can hold 3 carriers in dry dock at any one time
