Introducing MV Song of America Minecraft! [Exterior Only]

This is a 1:1 scale build of the Royal Caribbean Cruise Ship MV Song of America! This build is an exterior only build.

Short History of MV Song of America:
The MV Song of America, now known as the MS Celestyal Olympia, is a cruise ship with a rich history. It was built in 1982 at the Wärtsilä Hietalahti shipyard in Helsinki, Finland for the Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines. The ship was designed with cabins at the fore of the ship, furthest from engine noise, and public spaces to the aft. This layout, while common on ferries, is rarely used for cruise ships. The Song of America entered service with Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines on December 5, 1982. It was named by opera singer Beverly Sills, and its maiden voyage included former President Jimmy Carter and his wife Rosalyn on a cruise from Miami to Nassau, San Juan, and St. Thomas. Over the years, the ship has undergone several name changes and has been operated by different cruise lines. From 1999 to 2004, it sailed for Sun Cruises as the MS Sunbird. It was then chartered to the United Kingdom-based Thomson Cruises until April 2012 as the MS Thomson Destiny. It has since sailed for Louis Cruises as the MS Louis Olympia, and as the MS Celestyal Olympia since 2014. As of 2024, it is known as the Bella Fortuna and is currently laid up.

Read this before you explore my ship builds:
1) I recommend you use the Natural Texture Pack for full immersion. I exclusively build in this texture pack to give my builds a unique look and feel. You can download the Natural Texture Pack here.

2) I build in 1:1 scale, but building in this scale comes with limitations. Some areas may be distorted or compromised due to scale and sizing when building in 1:1. Compromises have to be made in order to complete the build. Some areas may not resemble the actual ship and in those circumstances, I have to fictionalize some aspects about the build to "balance out" the build or to allow player interaction. I fully recognize 1:1 is not a perfect scale to build in but I personally find 1:1 to be the sweet spot for me.

3) I don't build cabins, engine rooms, or crew spaces. The reason is there is little to no information on what some of these spaces actually looked like, so I'd rather not spend the time to build something that I don't have information on. There is dead space on my builds because I primarily focus on class accommodations (Lounges, Dining Rooms, etc) and tend to focus less on passenger corridors, cabins, crew spaces, etc.
