Martinskirche (St. Martin's Church) Is the main Church of Kassel, Hesse, Germany. It is a Gothic Hall Church with two towers,
And is located on the Martinsplatz.

In the year 1343 the construction of the Church started, It was Started with the choir, and continued with the main body of the building, and at last the towers. 1487 the Building was completed.. Enough to be used as the towers have not been finished until the 19th Century. In 1564 The Southern tower got a Octagonal extension with a onion dome on top of it. In the 19th century this tower was Torn down and replaced with the two Neo Gothic spires as seen in the picture.

in 1943 English terror air raids have destroyed the historical center of Kassel, and so also the Saint Martin's Church which was located in the heart of it. Although the towers were still existent after the war, it was later decided to remove them and replace them with Tasteless modernistic spires which are still visible today.

Fixed the Spires. Now closer to their former real appearance. Slimmer and steeper.
