Description
The impenetrable fortress of Isengard with the tower of Orthanc in its center does not need introduction. This iconic structure from The Lord of The Rings has been built many times, and this is my recreation of the movie version of the fortress. I did, however, introduce some changes.
Despite being as dark as the caverns of the Misty Mountains, the interior is quite cozy and makes the tower a very comfortable home. Inside one can find:
-a living room,
-a kitchen with a freezer,
-a dining room,
-three nether and end themed bedrooms,
-archives with enchanting table,
-a forge,
-a nether lab,
-portals to nether, end, and... aether?
-three trophy rooms
-a shrine of the Old Gods
-a boardroom
-a feast room
-and a yet unfinished palantir room and a mysterious source of the energy beam
From the bottom to the sky, an energy beam of crying obsidian is connecting all the floors. The main resources for building the tower were blackstone and obsidian, with warped planks being used for most of the furniture, for the Lovecraft/Cthulhu vibes. The exterior is mostly polished blackstone walls (which could use some tuning), diorite paths and dense deciduous vegetation.
