This basilica is completely out of proportion.
Is it the lack of building skills or... the lack of building skills?

Yes. Me too.
I'd go for the last option.


The building is based on Maxentius' Basilica in Rome.

This is like the ugly brother of the Roman one


or better: ugly sister since the Latin word 'basilica' is female

Wouldn't say its a lack of building skills, rather a lack of space. And you tagged it 'ugly' xD. You've talent enough to make a decent basicila, given enough space.

Normally it should have been the entrance hall of an auditorium, built on the ruins of that weird purple building behind it , but I suddenly switched thoughts to making it a little basilica.
Conclusion: Don't make sudden decision, because they won't turn out to be the best ones
