American High School is a fictional high school I constructed from scratch, taking inspiration from various American school designs (hence the name) through the ages.
The Main two-story structure with basement is based on a simplistic 1960's design focusing on the repeating windows throughout the design. The two annexes on both sides of the Gym mimic a style of the mid 1970's, focusing on limited window use whilst still retaining some sense of style. The annex at the front left of the school mimics a style found in the 1980's, retaining limited window use as well as removing stylistic properties, opting for an even simpler design aimed more towards function than form.
The school itself features both common and uncommon elective/extracurricular classes along side the standard classes/rooms.
Common Features and Rooms include:
- Gym
- Cafeteria + Kitchen
- Auditorium
- American Football Stadium
- Baseball Field
- Softball Field
- Courtyard
- Olympic-sized Swimming Pool (basement)
The following classes have dedicated rooms and/or workshops alongside a regular desked classroom:
- Culinary - 2 kitchens
- Drivers Education - Complete student driving track
- Weight Lifting - Dedicated weight room
- Wrestling - Wrestling room/mat
- Electrical - Workshop
- Welding - Workshop
- Automotive - Workshop
- Engineering - Workshop
- Carpentry - Workshop
The Following classes have non-standard desked classrooms or no desks at all:
- Art
- Theater
- Information Technology (4 Classrooms)
