Hello There :)
This is a New Project we've been working and playing on lately, it's a medium-sized and pretty complex Desert City which was initially created as a Team-Deathmatch-PVP Map. Since the Map itself turned out pretty well too it's now available for download for you here :3
The City was mostly Inspired by arabic/oriental architecture and we tried to build everything as complicated and confusing as possible to give the whole city a nice, busy atmosphere and make the PVP as interessting as possible.
Note: If you use this Map on your Server make sure to give proper Credit, i appreciate it :)
PVP:
The Map wasn't really intendend to be a fully usable pvp map but more a map for me to mess around with commandblocks, so everything's a bit derpy. But you could play it if you want, you just have to upload it on a vanilla server and start the circuits underneath the Palace in order for everything to work.
(If needed i can post instructions later, or answer any questions via PM)
Lore:
When the, once flourishing and wealthy city of Al'Qhera suddenly found itself surrounded by a Army of Sand Bandits and Deserttrolls, the major Master of Arts, Partynos, felt himself and the whole city in a tricky Situation. The City wasn't fortified enough to withstand the dangerous hords, so he used powerful spells to lift the City, and the ground on which it stood high above the blistering sand.
Even though it looked like a Success there were still many dangers to fight, many bandits were still holding on to the whole island and the City's guards would have to fight them in the narrow streets to be able to save the city.
Also the casting of such powerful spells attracts things way more dangerous than some greedy Bandits.
Credits:
_SwissCraft_ for helping a lot with building, and making everything look dynamic and alive. Also for writing the Lore :)
LivingEntity, iRilo,Jivusa,Scolez & Yolomokel for testing the map and being somewhat helpful.
Thanks for any Feedback/Additions/Hate/Love/Comments/Random Spam & Advertisments
Texture Pack:The Texture Pack used was the newest Conquest Texture Pack with connected textures and all the other great features, but it'll look almost just as fine in Default.
Renders made with Chunky
