I know in this culture singleness is in many people's minds is almost like a disease. Like if you don't have a boyfriend or girlfriend you begin to think 'Is there something wrong with me?'

I want to tell you no. No, there is nothing wrong with you. Honestly. Culture has put such a huge emphasis on dating. Like you have to date, if you haven't ever dated before your so weird. But, let me tell you the truth. You don't have to date to be important or to have a purpose. So many people fall into thinking that if no one likes them they aren't important and have no meaning.

If your thinking that STOP. You have a meaning and a purpose. You do. I don't just think so, just the fact that your here and alive on this earth and reading this proves that. You have a purpose, you might not know it right now, but you do.

But, you can't derive who you are or your worth out of if someone likes you or if your dating someone.

I know I'm kind of falling off topic, but honestly I really really want what is best for you.

I think singleness is almost a blessing in disguise. You can do so many things right now that someday when you meet that person you won't be able to do as easily. Now is your time to try new things, find out more of who you are, make new friends, create new habits. So that when you meet that person you'll be entirely ready and prepared. I know this is kind of a big topic.

But, wait. You have no idea how much waiting helps with your character. Than in the end it will be entirely worth it. Trust me. :)

Edit: I'm not saying you shouldn't get married or when you get married you loose your freedom. What I'm saying is far from that. I believe very strongly that dating isn’t just this thing were "Oh there's a cute guy." I wanna date him. Or vice versa. I believe dating is a period in a deep friendship between two people who are in hopes to get married. Not just something you do for fun and when someone 'better' comes around you drop them or when they're no longer 'fun' This post is an encouragement for those who are single and haven't found that person who they're meant to be with. To tell you to use your single years for good so when you meet them you both can reach people and goals together. :)

I shall pretend that was today!
Thank you to everyone who has subscribed. :D It's such a high milestone to have hit in what feels like such a short time. Over 900 of those was from year 1...! Clearly haven't posted much this year, huh. Ahaha. I've been here just over 2 years now! Time flies, and apparently that means getting older with it. Life moves on, and it's quite interesting the effects that can have! Mentally, socially, with work, productivity, life situation and more. A lot changes, ever so quickly, and ever so slow. Invariably and inconsistently. Life's always been intriguing for that. No two lives are ever the same, no matter how closely similar their conditions; people always differ. And many of them... are nice! At least in places like here. People longlastingly active here are quite nice. That's a good thing, right? ^~^
